What an awesome day at the Genesee Valley Homesteading Expo yesterday! It was so great to meet people from all around WNY and many up to a few hours away who attended our event. Made some new friends, saw some old friends, and walked away with great local items. I served on the planning team for this event and we are so thrilled for all the support and to see it all come to fruition.

Excited for the season ahead! Photos here of my booth setup. Since we mainly focus on warm season flowers here, my arrangements yesterday featured some lovely blooms from another local flower farmer and friend at Bluebird Hill Flower Farm in Scottsville. This was also my first time participating in a market style event as a vendor and I had a blast.

Planting party every evening around here! I’m so thankful I’ve hired some help this year and look forward to catching up on planting the flower farm for our third season growing cut flowers. Spring was in the air! Not sure where it went though. We’ve been planting loads of seeds and collecting turkey eggs to incubate soon. The farm stand will be opening later in the season, official open date TBA.

Today is the big day for our seed swap located right next door to the Bloom Saloon at New Horizon Church! 1-3pm.

🎟️ Free raffle ticket to each attendee, extra tickets will be sold as well, win one of THREE raffle drawings!

💐 Main Prize: Gift Basket full of gifts including a subscription for five bouquets during our 2026 flower season, a $20 gift certificate to Six Sprouts Farm Market , one of our Culture Gardens hats, and other goodies.

Our 2nd Annual Seed Exchange event is THIS Saturday in Avon, NY. Excitiment is building!

🌱 The seed pod machines are ready to go, including the new one loaded with perennial favorites for the bees! Bring your quarters for these.

👉🏼 The FIRST 15 people to come to the seed swap will get a swag bag with: three of our seed packets, a magnet, a few stickers, and a couple organic candies.
