Join us for a white elephant style book swap!
What to bring:

ONE wrapped book. Any wrapping will do but we will not have supplies to wrap books here. Only wrapped books will be permitted for the swap.
Yourself and maybe a friend!
What to do:

Once you arrive (between 5 and 5:45) and check in at the bar, we will have you write 3 words on a card to attach to your book. Any three words to describe your book without giving away the title.
At 6 pm we will draw numbers to determine order. Number 1 will go first and pick any book they want, read the three words, and open it to show everyone. Person number 2 can steal that book or open a new one. And so on. After everyone has stolen or picked a book, person number 1 will go again to finish us out.


FAQ-

When do I arrive: anytime between 5 and 5:45
How many books can I bring: please only bring 1 book. Only one book will be allowed to be swapped.
Will there be food or drinks: We will have tons of sweets for purchase as well as coffee and espresso beverages and a full bar. No outside food or drink is permitted.
How long will this take:it depends on how many people show up. The more people, the longer (and more fun) the swap will be. But we close at 9pm
How much do it cost: Only $5!
Can I purchase at the door: yes but this is a limited capacity event so it is HIGHLY recommended you buy in advance to prevent the possibility of being turned away when we hit capacity

Shawnee Kilgore’s Wonder What Wednesdays began in July 2018 as a challenge to play only original songs for a month of Wednesdays without repeating or playing anything from her then 5 studio albums. She introduced Let That Songbird Bingo (a spin on her musical motto/ethos Let That Songbird Go) and a guest each night to swap songs and each play a surprise cover of the other artist.

There have now been 48 WWW shows at 5 different venues and Shawnee has played 400 original songs! If you’ve heard it on a Wednesday you’ll never hear it at another one! Come see what’s left in the vault and welcome Chris Ritter to the WWW fam.

The Belle Sounds with Emily Shirley

The Belle Sounds make their return to Soundspace with a special opening set by band member Emily Shirley.

Austin’s synth-pop quintet, The Belle Sounds, have been called “one of the best pop bands in Austin”(Austin American Statesman), “best new band” (Austin Chronicle) and have their own day named after them in their hometown of Austin, TX.

Drawn to the sounds and influences of the 80s, they make music that calls back to artists like Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel and more while holding on to love of the sounds of 70/80s Fleetwood Mac.
