Who remembers when TITANE tore through Fantastic Fest 2021 as our Opening Night film?

We were honored to welcome director Julia Ducournau for the screening, which marked the U.S. premiere of her Palme d’Or winning, electrifying fever dream. That night was truly one for the FF history books, and our genre-loving hearts.

Submissions for Fantastic Pitches open June 16! We’re looking for genre features that are independent productions shot in English, though we welcome submissions from around the world. Finalists will pitch live in Austin during this year’s fest where the winning team walking away with:

We’re thrilled that last year’s Best Horror Feature, Chainsaws Were Singing, has secured North American distribution and is headed to theaters this fall!

Nearly 10 (TEN!!!) years in the making, this utterly indescribable Estonian odyssey from filmmaker Sander Maran is described as “Monty Python meets Texas Chain Saw Massacre meets Les Misérables.”

We’ve been haunted by his work (in the best way) for years, and lucky to have him join us at the fest more than once. One of our favorite moments? 2017, when Mike and the Gerald’s Game crew came through for one unforgettable Fantastic Fest hang.
