Our hearts are with all of California (as our shop name comes from my roots as a Californian at the start of my life and a Coloradan at the start of my business). However, this hits closer to home for us as my brother Collin lost his home this week in the Eaton fire. Read his story, written by his team at Sierra Madre Search and Rescue:

We, friends and family from Sierra Madre Search and Rescue, are fundraising to support our very own team member, Collin Davis. Collin has been a volunteer with the team for 11 years and has lost everything he owns to the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA.

Collin left his home with just his team uniform, call-out pack, phone, wallet, and car. The team was asked to support 911’s immediate evacuation for Sierra Madre residents for the Eaton Fire. He left his home in such a hurry and never thought it would be the last time he would see his home.

Collin works in the film industry and has lost the equipment to do his work. He is in our team’s band, The Rescue 8s, as the bassist and lost his bass, guitars, and other gear. Every photo, document, piece of clothing, home goods, and electronics were lost to the fire.

With this GoFundMe campaign, we hope to get Collin back on his feet again – funding some of the basic life essentials (clothes, food, a place to stay) and giving him the means to make a living (replacing his cameras).
