Sixteen years ago, I started this journey at my kitchen island — designing arrangements as a small, home-based floral business with big dreams and a lot of heart. What began with buckets of flowers in my home and delivering them with my infant in the backseat has grown into a thriving brick-and-mortar shop for the past decade, and that growth is all because of you.
After 16 incredible years filled with growth, challenges, lessons, and countless blessings, I’m excited to share that I have sold the business to a wonderful new owner who is ready to lead Poppy & Pine into its next chapter. She’ll be introducing herself in the coming days and weeks, but for now, I can say that I couldn’t be more excited to see the vision, passion, and care she will bring as she continues to grow this business.
Poppy & Pine was inspired by the two places that have shaped my life most—California, where my roots run deep, and Colorado, where I built my home and raised my family. The name carries even greater meaning because she shares that same connection, having grown up in California and now calling Colorado home. In many ways, it feels like the name was always meant to continue with someone whose story echoes my own. As Poppy & Pine enters this new season, its name will remain a tribute to where we’ve come from, the journeys that have shaped us, and the bright future she will now carry forward.
To our incredible community — thank you for believing in us from the very beginning. You supported a home-based dream and helped it blossom into a successful storefront. To my friends who ordered those first arrangements, let me test new ideas, spread the word, and cheered me on through every step of the journey—you will always hold a special place in my heart. Your encouragement, referrals, and loyalty made every milestone possible.
To our amazing customers — thank you for trusting us with your weddings, celebrations, milestones, and even your most difficult goodbyes. Being part of your life’s moments has been an honor beyond words.
And to our dedicated employees, past and present — you are the heart behind every bouquet and gift that left our doors. Your creativity, hard work, and passion turned a small operation into something truly special. I am endlessly grateful for each of you.
And most importantly, to my family—thank you. Poppy & Pine has never been just my business; it has been woven into the fabric of our lives. My husband has been my sounding board, my partner, and the person behind the scenes making sure the numbers always worked. My children grew up among buckets of flowers, held their first jobs in our shop, and sacrificed family time so I could pursue this dream. This business helped put them through college and build the life we share today. Every arrangement, every milestone, and every success carries a piece of their love and support. I could never have done this without them.
I’m confident the shop will continue to flourish with our small but mighty team who will continue their work under the new owner’s leadership, and I hope you’ll give her the same incredible support you’ve shown me. Thank you for an unforgettable 16 years of helping this little flower dream bloom into more than I ever imagined. This community will always hold a special place in my heart.
