From high school sweethearts to husband and wife! After five years together (and a proposal on the golf course!), David and Mylee celebrated the beginning of their next chapter surrounded by their favorite people in Northern Maine. Their wedding day began at the beautiful Legacy Ranch in Mars Hill, where they got ready with their wedding party before heading to their home church in Littleton for the ceremony. One of my favorite parts of their day was watching them worship alongside their family and friends as they sang together during the ceremony, with their pastor officiating. It was such a meaningful way to begin their marriage!

After the ceremony, everyone made their way back to Legacy Ranch for the reception, and what a beautiful space it was! From the soft blue and white floral accents to the greenery draped throughout the reception space, glowing candles, and touches of gold, every detail came together so beautifully. Mylee even did all of the floral arrangements herself, which is truly impressive!

It was absolutely worth the drive to Northern Maine to capture this special day! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Tuttle! 💙

Six summers, six family sessions, and one very special beach! ☀️

For the sixth year in a row, I've had the pleasure of photographing the Obusan Family at Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, where they spend their summer vacation each year. There's something so heartwarming about returning to the same place year after year and getting to document how much their family has grown and changed along the way. I love hearing about how the kids are doing in school, seeing their personalities emerge, and sharing how my kids are doing!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening to wrap up the summer! Between the soft sand, warm ocean waves, and an absolutely incredible sunset that painted the sky in shades of pink and orange, it was one of those evenings I wished could last just a little longer. And of course, we had to finish with some fun in the water!

So grateful for families like the Obusans who continue to invite me back to capture these memories year after year! ❤️

Chris and Sue's wedding at Mountain House on Sunday River was such a beautiful day! They traveled up from Connecticut with their closest friends and family to get married in the Western Maine mountains—and what a backdrop Maine gave them!

Rain clouds loomed all day, but absolutely nothing was putting a damper on this crew. Chris and Sue found a second chance at love in each other, and there was something extra special about watching two people who already know what really matters choose each other and bring their families together.

Honestly, those cloudy skies made the mountains look even dreamier, and we made the most of every corner of Sunday River, from the sweeping mountain backdrop to the covered bridge and even an old ski lift that was practically begging to be used for a photo!

They were married in the woods under towering pine trees, with guests seated on benches made out of logs with pine needles at their feet. The mountains across the street made for the perfect backdrop for family formals, and we just had to take the couple to the famous Sunday River covered bridge down the street for more portraits! The reception space was an open air log cabin that was decorated beautifully. The DJ made sure the guests had some great music to keep the dance floor going all night!

Some of my favorite details and moments of the day included the toy truck that the ring bearer used to hold the rings, when Chris put Sue's glasses on for her during the ceremony so that she could read her vows, the personalized wooden name plates for guests, Sue's adorable Dad making me get into a photo with him to make sure I was documented too, and the moment of silence they had for their loved ones who couldn't be there. Sue and Chris even added me to the seating chart to ensure I'd have a place to sit and enjoy dinner with them - which was so sweet of them!

A beautiful day, a whole lot of laughter, and two people very, very happy to have found each other. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Beams!

I still have summer sessions to share - holding onto the warm days as long as possible over here! The (grown-up) Sullivan siblings wanted to gift their Mom a family portrait session for her birthday this past summer - honestly, such a thoughtful and lasting gift! We met at Pine Point Beach in Scarborough. A rainstorm had just passed through, so the beach was almost empty! The kiddos did great, and were thrilled to learn that they were going to be able to jump and splash in the ocean at the end of the session! All of the adults ended up joining in, which was so much fun! The cute puppy made a great addition to the photos as well :)

My second wedding of last weekend took me closer to home, to a local winery tucked down a quiet country road, surrounded by the colors of October! Scott and Kat were married on Sunday at WillowsAwake Winery, which was the perfect setting for the start of their new lives together! From cowboy hats and a canine ring bearer named Tuna, to a candlelit dinner and guests wrapped in cozy blankets - their day was carefully curated to celebrate their love alongside their favorite people! I'm still recovering from an incredible double wedding weekend! I can't wait to share more, but for now, here's my favorite from Carter and Sam's amazing wedding day on Saturday! The foliage was at peak up in the New Hampshire mountains, at the ski lodge where this couple met and fell in love. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! Three generations of the A Family, spending an evening together in the beautiful Acadia National Park! We started their session down at Sand Beach and made our way up to Cadillac Mountain, trading the ocean for those incredible Acadia views.
Since hiking and exploring together is such a big part of their family, they chose to keep things true to them and come dressed for a hiking adventure! And an adventure it was — especially once we reached the top of Cadillac and felt just how chilly that September air could be! They were such good sports through the cold, and I love that these photos capture not only three generations together, but a place and an activity that holds so many memories for their family.

Sadie and Billy’s wedding day felt like stepping into the pages of a story they had written themselves.

They dreamed of a whimsical September wedding filled with books, florals, and all the cozy colors of early fall—and Sadie put so much of herself into bringing that vision to life. From her bouquet with its book page flowers to the floral-filled book centerpieces, jewelry frames, the huge book themed photo backdrop, and so many other little details throughout the day, there was something personal everywhere you looked. Sage green, warm burnt orange, vintage books, and handmade florals all came together so beautifully at a family friend’s property here in Central Maine. Also, I have to give a shout out to the amazing food and desserts and the team from Of Maine Origin - the flavor and presentation were incredible! Wedding week threw a few unexpected changes their way, but Sadie and Billy handled every pivot with such a positive attitude and kept their focus on what mattered most: getting married and celebrating with the people they love. And in the end, you never would have known their day hadn’t unfolded exactly as originally planned. It was beautiful, joyful, and completely them.

The last time I photographed the D family, Taylor was still pregnant with her son, Camden! They had come to Camden, Maine, for their babymoon, and I photographed them at the amphitheater, harbor, and up on Mt. Battie. This year, Taylor and Daniel brought Camden back to the town of Camden, to show him the place he was named after! 6 year old Camden has a big personality, and I loved capturing his silliness, alongside his sweetness, and even a bit of his wild streak! My favorite part was when he picked a flower for his Mom, and actually kneeled down on one knee and "proposed" to her - my Mama heart melted!

Brittany and Rob's wedding at the Westin Portland Harborview was a little different from the weddings I typically photograph, and it was a fun challenge getting to do something outside of my usual style!

Instead of the outdoor portraits and natural light I typically gravitate toward, Brittany and Rob wanted to take advantage of the hotel's beautiful interior, gorgeous lighting, and elegant architecture. They also loved the look of flash photography, so we had some fun getting creative throughout the hotel. We had to show off Brittany's stunning long train on her dress, and even got a few photos in the elevator on our way down to the reception.

Their ceremony was held in a beautifully intimate setting, with candles lining the aisle, followed by cocktail hour on the 15th floor at Top of the East, where floor-to-ceiling windows offered incredible views of downtown Portland. From there, everyone headed to the Grand Ballroom for an evening of celebrating!

And I can't forget one of my favorite little details of the day - Brittany's mom, who owns Cape Whoopies in Cape Elizabeth, made ALL of the whoopie pies for their dessert table, complete with unique names celebrating the couple! Marcia made sure we went home with a few whoopie pies and Laura and I enjoyed the delicious treats on our drive home.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Jimino! Thank you for inviting me to capture your beautiful day and for giving me the opportunity to get a little creative with one of Portland's gorgeous indoor spaces! Thank you, also, to all the incredible vendors who made this day possible!
