Going into the season of Thanksgiving, I do so with an extra full heart this year. Melanie Grace Weddings has had the blessing of planning 35 weddings to date! I never imagined my small side business would grow into what it is today.

I am incredibly thankful for every bride, groom, family member, bridesmaid, groomsman, and vendor I have had the opportunity to work with.

From 2 to 200 pages of “Master Planning Document” materials, I learn SO much with every wedding I do, which fuels my passion for doing what I do.

Looking back on my first few weddings, I can’t help but cringe and laugh. However, I will forever be thankful for my beginning and my earliest brides for giving me the opportunity to grow.

I have grown so much as a wedding professional over the last nine years, and I look forward to continued growth and seeing where my passion for weddings takes me.

A design unlike any other curated for our bride with an eye.

We had SO much fun designing this wedding. It was unique, different, and a perfect representation of the bride.

Designing weddings is the most fun part of what we do. We take the time to get to know everything about our brides, their lives, their likes, and their dislikes. We then use this information to curate an initial design plan.

From here, we fine-tune the design based on feedback from the client and permissions of the budget.

There are SO many things to consider when designing a wedding, space, colors, textures, symmetry, budget, style, brand, location, time of year, and patterns, to name a few. The design process can be overwhelming.

From brand to floral selections, color pallets, layouts and more, leave the design stress to us! It’s what we do best!

Melanie here. I want to take a minute to give a much deserved shoutout to my right hand woman (my “work wife” as I like to call her).

God works in mysterious ways. He certainly knew what He was doing bringing Rachel into my life and pairing our talents together.

From hard hat tours, to season announcements, to museum events, to weddings all over the south, I have been blessed to work alongside Rachel for several years now.

Personally, she’s been by my side through all the ups and downs. She’s never backed down from being my biggest advocate and cheerleader. And, no matter how far I may try to stray away from my truest self, she ALWAYS brings me back.

Professionally, Rachel brings out the best in me, and inspires me to be and do better. She is the yin to my yang. Her strengths complement my weaknesses and together we are unstoppable.

I’ve never been more proud of Rachel than I am right now. Just when I thought she couldn’t be more awesome, she says, “hold my drink” and proceeds to blow me out of the water.

Rachel, you are unlike any other. Your heart, drive, ambition, selflessness, attention to detail, and work-ethic are unparalleled.

I can’t wait to be reunited with you tomorrow and to watch all your hard work unfold this weekend. Thank you for all that you do and for all that you are. Love you dearly!
