Why an empty bucket?
It’s National Infertility Awareness Week for 2024. I know seeing all the beautiful newborns I share can be heartbreaking when you are waiting for a baby of your own. Even though my childless heartbreak isn’t due to fertility issues, I want you to know you are not alone, I am loving you, praying for you, and saving you a bucket. I know the sadness that can come from wanting something with every fiber of your being. I see you, and I’m here for you.
I also will never quit hoping for you… two years ago I made an empty bucket post, and promised to keep a bucket ready for a close friend. Just weeks ago I got to fulfill my promise for the second time. Please, don’t give up hope. I personally am here for you in the darkest of hours if you need a shoulder, but please, don’t give up hope. I will keep your buckets ready ❤️
Did you know that…
🌈1 in 8 women struggle with infertility
🌈1 in 4 experience loss
🌈1 in 160 pregnancies are affected by stillbirth?
This month I am joining with other newborn photographers as we all share our empty buckets in honor of you. This empty bucket symbolizes not only the emptiness women who experience infertility often feel, but it is also a symbol of hope for all those families still praying for their miracle baby.
The acronym PAIL also stands for Pregnancy After Infertility or Loss. When their miracle arrives, we will be here to celebrate with them!
Please join me in spreading awareness. Share your stories or encouragement below...or a simple or to let others know that they're not alone in their struggles. Feel free to share this photo to start a conversation. Just know, you are not alone.
