My job is pretty cool sometimes. Today, I get to watch the cannons being returned to the Castillo de St. Marcos after being restored. Each one of the big ones weighs 6,000 lbs. On the downside, the fort is closed today so they had to turn away a lot of disappointed tourists. Where is John Candy when you need him?

So like any other job, some days as a photographer are more interesting than others. Today was very interesting! It was an honor to shoot the arrival of the centerpiece of the planned POW-MIA Memorial at Cecil Commerce Center. This A7A bomber was flown in Desert Storm by none other than Capt Scott Speicher, a local war hero who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. We are forever in his debt.
I should add that my client, Landstar System transported the plane from Oklahoma to Jax at no charge. Good on them!

With another successful dance season behind us, I'd like to thank all of the studio directors, teachers, dancers and parents for your patronage and patience this year and every year in the past! I am always in awe of the dancers who are amazingly tough and disciplined athletes. They have my utmost respect.

So how do I make enough Christmas candy, AKA English butter toffee to satisfy all of my family friends and customers? It starts with 50 lb of sugar, 11 pounds of 70% Belgian dark chocolate, 24 lb of butter and almost 30 lb of whole almonds. Mix it all together and what do you get?
