Today we celebrate National Loving Day - a day to remember the landmark 1967 Supreme Court Decision of Loving vs. Virginia striking down laws banning in*******al marriage in the United States. The perfectly named Mildred and Richard Loving were arrested, convicted and sentenced to prison, just for being a multiracial couple living together as husband and wife. With the help of the ACLU, they appealed their convictions all the way to the US Supreme Court, winning their appeal and paving the way for multiracial couples to marry legally in all 50 states.

53 years later we are still fighting for racial equality and justice. People in Atlanta and all over the world have taken to the streets to raise awareness and demand change. We will continue to support people and organizations like the ACLU and others working to bring equal economic opportunity, equality in healthcare and education, fairness in policing and criminal justice and protection of voting rights for all people of color. Legendary Events stands with our black and brown family in fighting to make these ideals a reality - NOW.

We will also continue to do as we have done for 23 years - help ALL couples celebrate love. And we take today to celebrate one very special couple - Mildred and Richard Loving. Happy Loving Day!!!
