Did you know we’re on the grounds of one of Atlanta’s most historic sites? ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Glen Castle, originally known as the Atlanta Stockade, has a unique and fascinating history dating back to the late 19th century. Built in 1896, the structure was initially designed as a prison, made entirely of stone quarried from nearby areas. Its medieval, fortress-like architecture, complete with towers and crenellations, makes it one of Atlanta’s most striking historic buildings.

Despite its beginnings as a place of confinement, Glen Castle has transformed over time into a symbol of resilience and reinvention. By the 1920s, the prison was closed, and in the years since, the property has been repurposed multiple times. The structure eventually became part of a vibrant community in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, symbolizing the adaptive reuse movement that has swept many parts of the city.
