Black men DO vote. They DO show up. And the receipts deserve as much attention as the narrative. 👏🏾

Today is National Black Man Voter Day, and right here in Georgia, 182,723 Black men have already voted early IN PERSON. Include absentee ballots, and that number reaches 191,502, according to this morning’s Secretary of State update.

That’s thousands of fathers, sons, brothers, neighbors, and friends making their voices heard. Let’s put some respect on their participation!

There’s room to grow AND reason to celebrate the men already handling business. Today, I’m giving them their flowers. 🗳️

I read banned books AND ballots. A well-read woman is somebody’s problem. 📚💅🏾

I can get the books I want. Our children deserve that access in their schools, too.

Black history should be part of their education. From school boards to state leaders, pay attention to who makes decisions about their books and classrooms. Vote for people who will protect our stories and their freedom to learn. ✨

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Drea. 🤍🕊️

I woke up in tears this morning. Even now, I’m writing this with a lump in my throat and a pain in my stomach, trying to find words for a love this big and an absence this heavy.

People will dismiss and forget a whole lot of things, but they never forget how you made them feel. And baby, Drea made us feel GOOD. Seen. Celebrated. Loved. And we felt loved because she literally loved us. It was in how she showed up, how she embraced us, and how she made room for us to be exactly who we were.

Wondrea, you were so damn amazing. And today, as I wrestle with so many emotions, I keep coming back to gratitude. I am grateful that God allowed me to stand in your light. Grateful that I got to experience your love. Grateful that my memories of you hold something real enough to hurt this much.

I am devastated by your physical absence. I want another hug, another laugh, another moment. And I’m giving myself permission to feel all of that today.

But I also know this: dope s**t and dope people never die. Your spirit will live in the hearts of those who loved you—in our stories, our laughter, and the ways we love on one another because you loved on us.

Happy Birthday, my beautiful girl. You made us feel so good. And I will carry that love for the rest of my life. 🤍 ❤️
