This is one of those nights where you don’t want to hear about it tomorrow — you want to be in the room tonight.

Grief is heavy. Depression is heavy. And lately, life has felt heavier than I know how to explain.

The truth is, I have been struggling.

I lost vision in my left eye because of scleritis. The presence of Multiple Myeloma in my bone marrow has increased. My mother has been fighting through her own health challenges. I am grieving the end of a relationship and the future I thought came with it.

And a few days ago, I suddenly lost my friend Wondrea, a beautiful, brilliant soul who made so many of us feel loved.

It has been a lot. Too much, some days.

You may see me dressed up, made up and outside and assume I am doing well. The truth is, I am not. I am still showing up, still working, still laughing sometimes, still loving people and still believing God. However showing up does not mean I am okay.

I don’t have a beautiful lesson to wrap around this season. Right now, I am simply giving myself permission to grieve, to feel, and to be honest about where I am.

Today, that has to be enough.

Things have been extremely heavy lately. I’ve been drowning in grief, sadness and depression. Trying to find calm in the midst of so many storms has taken me somewhere unfamiliar and scary.

But God!

I’m still thankful that God loves me.

I still trust God and know His plans for me are great.

Thank to everyone that has reached out. Thank you to everyone that is praying with me.

Most of all, THANK YOU, God!

Oh and remember, God can and will make your heavy load light.

I love you! ❤️

Today is a deeply sad and sorrowful day as we mourn the loss of our sister, our friend, Wondrea Gilmore.

Wondrea was beautiful, brilliant and full of life. She had the kind of laugh you never forgot, the kind of energy you could feel the moment she entered a room, and a personality that made people feel seen, welcomed and loved. She brought joy to so many of us, and our community will never be the same without her.

Wondrea was also incredibly special to me and to the Maui Bigelow family. She was one of the very first models I built a relationship with when I started this journey. Year after year, she walked our runway, supported the vision and became part of the fabric of what Life Styled Honors represented. By our eleventh year, it was only right that we celebrate her as a Life Styled Honoree.

To my curvy community, I know so many of you are hurting today. Please know that I am hurting with you. The entire Life Styled Honors family is devastated and trying to process a loss that simply does not feel real.

We will miss her beauty. We will miss her laugh. We will miss that unmistakable Wondrea energy.

But most of all, we will miss her.

I love you all. Hold each other a little closer today.

Rest in Paradise, Wondrea. You were loved deeply, and you will never be forgotten.
