Christmas Day dessert post—this year was an Unbaked Atlanta. 🤣 we love an ice cream cake so I leveled up with layers of ice cream (not gonna front… I used vanilla that I doctored up with some mixins), a holiday sprinkle cake and a homemade brownie (both scratch) all enrobed in fresh whipped cream with festive sprinkles. In between layers were salted caramel and fudge sauces. A mix of store bought and homemade ingredients, but all the labor was mine. ❤️ PS- Dear Santa, please bring me a blast freezer for the next time. 🎂 🎅🏻 🎄

Wrapped things up at Animal Kingdom. I was pretty set to proclaim the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot the best. Then Expedition Everest happened today. I declare a tie!

“Bite me” is the perfect sentiment when I look at this year’s Christmas cake—gingerbread spice baked perfectly in the VERY contoured Nordicware wreath Bundt 🤨 A few coats of green icing for the base, a vibrant red icing ribbon and some icing snow accents to make it all pop! Oh, and Peeps because they were cute and my nieces will eat those. 🎄

In lieu of a gingerbread house project this year, I convinced my nieces and sister we needed more cookies to eat this year. We had a fun Monday date decorating sugar and gingerbread cookies. Here are a few of mine on the new cookie plate they gifted me. 🎄 🎅🏻 🍪

This Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie from Southern Living’s “The Southern Heritage Pies and Pastry Cookbook” was one of my mom’s favorite. ❤️ She adapted it to exclude the bourbon at one point. I’ve made this as the traditional pie many times, as a tart last year and this year—Bourbon Pecan Brownie Pie (with a splash of bourbon)! I love the original but also love waking up with the idea for a new interpretation. I can already tell this is going to be RICH, honey! 💰 will definitely need some vanilla bean to cut the sweetness. Gobble gobble 🦃
