Quick Story! One evening at the end of an event we saw a parent standing around waiting to speak with us. Finally when everyone left she walked up to us with tears in her eyes and said “thank you all so much. “She proceeds to tell us that she has not had a kid-free night in almost 2 years. She really wanted to come to the wedding but was not sure who would watch her child. When her cousins told her they were providing childcare she was elated said she would try it and come.
She thought her daughter would have a hard time. Not the case at all. Her daughter had a blast was a so sad when the evening was over.
All this to say. This is why we do what we do. To give parents some hours to enjoy themselves kid-free yet with their kids nearby safe and having fun. It’s a win win for everyone.
