I've DJ'd weddings all over the world, and there's something about a Hawaiian destination wedding that just hits different. Maybe it's the ocean air. Maybe it's the way the island makes everyone slow down and be present. Maybe it's the fact that everyone traveled so far to be there, so they're determined to make every second count.

The reception started strong. Guests were on the dance floor early. The energy was high. I could feel the vibe building.
And then I made the call.
I started spinning a reggae set.
The park exploded!
People who had been sitting stood up. People who had been dancing moved faster. The energy shifted into fifth gear, and there was no coming back.
And then something incredible happened.
The party spilled into the neighborhood!
Guests were dancing in the streets. Neighbors heard the music and came out to join. The whole block became part of Simone and Brandyn's celebration.
This is what I live for. Those moments when the music takes over and the celebration becomes bigger than the venue. When everyone feels the rhythm and just lets go.
I looked over at Simone and Brandyn in the middle of it all, smiling and dancing and soaking it in. This was their day. And we were all living in it with them.
