I had a vision to add florals to footballs, I shared the vision with Illustrious Petal-Florist and she executed it perfectly!

These footballs were adorned with beautiful, bold flowers on a bed of green petals.

We placed them on black ceramic vases as design elements for the cake table display.

In case you were wondering, boutonnières are absolutely still in style!

What is the correct way to pin a boutonnière?

Here are a few helpful tips:

1.) Place the boutonnière on his left lapel collar (your right side), just under the knotted part of his tie. It’s important that you don’t pin it too high so that it doesn’t get caught in his facial hair or scratch against his face

2.) While holding the stem in its place, flip the lapel collar over to the back side

3.) Take your first pin and thread it in and out of the lapel while catching the stem on your way through. Pin slightly at an angle, but mostly horizontal

4.) Take your second pin and thread it similarly towards the top of the stem, except more vertically to stabilize.

5.) If the flowers are top heavy, use the second pin to thread through the heaviest flower rather than the stem.

Pinning a boutonnière can be tricky. Good luck!

As we come down to the end of another year, I would like to take this time to simply say, “Thank You” to everyone who has supported my business by booking my services, referring a client, reposting, saving, sharing and liking my photos on any platform.
