Master Distiller Brian Sprance brings his craft brewing background to New Riff's Maltster T50, featuring Simpson's T50™ Crystal Malt from the UK typically used in pale ales for toasty toffee notes. Paired with malted rye's delicate spice, the two grains create a twirling dance of toffee and rye.

Since 2014, New Riff sourced malted rye from Germany importing 300K pounds annually. This release turns to Sugar Creek Malt Co. in Lebanon, Indiana, for a Kentucky grown Aroostook rye. Well matured at six years, it presents bolder and spicier than the standard German malted expression, with darker, redder fruit notes and pronounced spice.

The inaugural Headliner is bottled at barrel proof, blending 45% 10 year old bourbon, 20% 9 year old bourbon, 30% 9 year old rye, and 5% 7 year old single malt mirroring New Riff's flagship mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye, 5% malted barley. Rich rye spice, barrel warmth, and a touch of dark fruit define the pour.
