🎓✨ **CALLING ALL ROMANCE INDUSTRY PROS!** ✨🎓

We are SO excited to announce that submissions are officially OPEN for our very first **Romance Academy** at Hot & Steamy in the PNW 2027! 🔥📚

📅 **Friday, June 11, 2027** 📍 **Hilton Downtown Vancouver | Vancouver, WA** _(The day before our annual signing event!)_

We're looking for experienced authors, editors, marketers, designers, and industry professionals to teach **hands-on craft and business workshops** for romance authors at every stage of their careers. If you've got expertise to share and a passion for lifting up our community, we want to hear from you! 💕

**👀 What's in it for instructors?**

✅ Romance Academy registration fee COMPED ✅ Saturday signing table fee COMPED ✅ **VIP TABLE ASSIGNMENT** at the June 12 signing ✅ Lunch on us Friday, June 11 ✅ Sponsorship inclusion across event marketing

📝 What we're looking for:

🖋️ Craft workshops (plotting, character, dialogue, spice scenes, voice, worldbuilding, you name it)
💼 Business workshops (marketing, social media, self-pub logistics, audiobooks, finance, branding)
🎯 Hands-on, interactive session (no lectures, please!)

Every accepted workshop must follow our instructional framework: Opening, Activator, Mini Lesson, Work Session, and Closing. Plus handouts. Plus genuine reader and writer engagement.

If you're an industry pro with valuable knowledge but you're not sure how to translate it into our framework, reach out to us before you submit! I need to share something important with this community.

Last night, I learned that one story in The Stories Between Us was written or edited using artificial intelligence, with the AI prompt embedded in the ebook, ARC, and print files. I unpublished it from the retailer immediately upon it being brought to my attention. That story is being removed. Updated files will not go out until the revision is complete, and the cover will be adjusted to reflect the updated author list.

My heart is broken over this, especially given what this project stands for. Every author in this anthology gave this book their genuine time, talent, and care. I am so sorry. To the authors, to the readers, and to this community. I am committed to making this right.

I also want to ask something of you, and I mean this sincerely, please lead with kindness. The person involved is a human being who deserves grace and basic human dignity. Sometimes good people act with the best of intentions, and they remain worthy of our respect regardless. We are not sharing this to spark outrage or direct harm toward anyone, and we do not condone bullying in any form. Comments on this post will be turned off, because this space will not become a platform for that.

What it will be is a place to say thank you. To every single person who has supported The Stories Between Us, who bought a copy, shared a post, or simply believed in what we were trying to do, that means everything. Your generosity will make a real difference for animals in need of safe and loving homes, and that is something to celebrate.

Thank you for being the kind of people who show up for the voiceless. We are so grateful for you.
