Ready for Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby this Saturday? Here's your Mint Lime Margarita recipe!
1.5 oz Tequila (We used Olmeca Altos and it was delicious)
0.5 oz Grand Marnier or Triple Sec (optional - add 0.5 oz more Tequila if skipping this)
6-12 Large Mint Leaves
1.0 oz Lime Juice
1.0 oz Mint Simple Syrup (optional - add 0.5 oz more lime juice and muddle 2x mint leaves if skipping this)
Ice
Lime Wedges and Salt for Tim and garnish
Run lime wedge on glasses and salt the rim. Then, fill glasses with ice to cool.
In a shaker, muddle mint leaves in lime juice. Add tequila, triple sec, mint simple syrup, and ice. Shake thoroughly. Pour / strain over ice in glass and enjoy!
