Apparently, I got 📸 from my mom.
As far back as I can remember, my mom had a Nikon FE 35mm film camera sitting on our family bookshelf. She was always interested in photography. If the camera wasn’t proof enough, the literal thousands of photos still lying around should be.
Over the last few weeks of looking through every single photo, I realized that mom had some skill behind the lens! I don’t know that she ever took a class (though she was a Communications major, so maybe she did), but her compositional choices were 👩🏻🍳💋
Here are some of my favorites - all taken with the Nikon 35mm, I believe (which still works, despite having last been serviced in 1985)!
Tucked away in a box under the photos, I found the camera. After a good cleaning, a brief visit to a camera shop, and two rolls of film later, I’m ready to give it a second life!
I’ll share the results of my first roll of film in the coming weeks. For now, I continue to celebrate and honor my mom’s life.
