I'm constantly thinking about what I can work with to make something fun and new with cake that I haven't tried before. I love to stay ahead on all of the trends happening in the cake design world. My favorite cake projects are weddings, I love to be involved in the whole process of the joining of two lives, and the cakes always tend to be more beautiful, complex, and fulfilling to accomplish. I w

ork in all media relating to cake, but specialize in fondant, modeling chocolate, and sugar flower production. When I was a baby baker growing up in Athens, on saturday nights after the bars closed, the Georgia Theatre had a late night disco party. It was probably the most fun I've ever had in this long life.
Over the years, Athens has changed a lot, but the Georgia Theatre remains effortlessly cool. I love weddings in this beautiful historic venue.

My dad, "Papa Chris " passed away on Tuesday evening very unexpectedly. I visited with him earlier that day, and I take comfort in the thought that he was happy and joyful.
He was a headstrong, willful, stubborn man, but he took great pride in his children and particularly his grandchildren, whom he doted on and adored.
He was a generous and extremely hard working man who instilled in me a work ethic that has allowed the drive to succeed. The man was literally a work horse until he was almost 70 and finally retired.
He always asked about my work and how he had shown pictures to his friends. He was invested in our lives in a way I've only recently been able to understand and appreciate, and I wish I had shared more with him.
He was easy to laugh and would do most anything for anyone, and I know he will be so missed by so many.
We are still making arrangements for a memorial so if you know me in my real life, I'll make an announcement about that if you would like to pay your respects.
Hug your dad or mom or special person in your life and tell them you love them, because they could be here and then gone in a moment.

Many heartfelt thanks to the staff with Georgia Grace Weddings 255 Milledge Hardeman-Sams
and Trumps Catering for hefting this big boy out to the reception tent last night so it didn't wither away in this Georgia heat.
Some other delectable pick up desserts for this wedding included mini lemon cupcakes, mini maple bacon ‼️ cupcakes, creme brulee cheesecake bars, and banana pudding shooters. Did y'all know you can have whatever you want at your wedding?? Make it the day of your tiramisu loving dreams!

Spring is springing over here, y'all!

Some fun cheesecake options are available at Trappeze Pub this week!
First up: Cadbury mini egg. A chocolate cookie crust with decadent mini egg vanilla cheesecake filling with some buttercream grass and mini eggs on top.
Second: Cadbury creme egg. A chocolate cookie crust with vanilla Cadbury creme cheesecake filling and a chocolate and caramel top.
Third and my personal favorite: Biscoff cookies butter. Biscoff cookie crust with cookie butter cheesecake filling and cookie butter drizzle and cookie crumb top.
Finally, the 🐐. Our chocolate mocha cake! Decadent chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and icing. A chocolate lover's dream!
