Sunday Tip:
We know wedding setups can get tight, but speaker placement isn’t just a detail—it’s the foundation of great sound. Here’s why we’re particular about where our speakers go:
Behind the DJ? Bad Idea. Here’s Why:
Feedback City
When speakers are behind the DJ booth, sound loops into the microphones and creates ear-piercing feedback. It’s disruptive, unprofessional, and totally avoidable.
The Crowd Suffers
Speakers are designed to project sound forward. If they're behind the DJ, the sound shoots backward, bounces off walls, and reaches your guests as muffled noise. That first dance? Ruined by bad acoustics.
It’s Not Just for Looks
We don’t place speakers a certain way for style—it’s for sound clarity, bass response, and full-room coverage. Proper placement ensures music feels immersive and balanced.
Too Far Apart? Just As Bad.
Sound Gaps in the Room
When speakers are spread too far apart, people in the middle of the room hear sound from both sides at different times, creating an echo or delay. People at the far ends hear music from only one side—killing the vibe.
Loss of Energy on the Dance Floor
Energy lives in the middle of the dance floor. If your speakers are blasting the walls instead of the crowd, your party fizzles instead of popping.
Unbalanced Sound Experience
Good DJs mix in stereo, and if the left and right speakers are too far apart, half the music gets lost depending on where you're standing. We want every guest to hear the full beat, no matter where they are.
