Kinlee and Devin's wedding day had all the ingredients for a great celebration—and maybe a few extra degrees.

We had the honor of celebrating Kinlee and Devin Taylor on August 8th, starting with their ceremony at Wyatt Park Christian Church. It's such a beautiful and unique church, and one that holds some special family history for Kinlee. We provided the sound while her uncle, Sean, officiated the ceremony.

From there, we headed to Stoney Creek for the reception. The room looked incredible, there was a huge crowd, and everyone was ready to celebrate.

The only thing we didn't count on was the A/C deciding to take the night off. It got HOT, so most of the guests wisely enjoyed the air-conditioned room next door. But there were some true dance-floor die-hards who weren't about to let a little heat stop them. They stayed out there, sweated it out, and kept the party going!

We're also fortunate to be family friends, which made getting to be part of Kinlee and Devin's day even more special. It's always a little different when you're not just showing up to work, but getting to celebrate with people you genuinely care about.

Congratulations, Kinlee and Devin! Thank you for letting us be part of such a fun and memorable day. ❤️

When I began this journey all those years ago I was only officiating weddings. We started as Sunflower Ceremonies Wedding Officiant Services. Then came the DJ portion and we dropped the "officiant" to include everything we do-and it's so much more than our name lets on! We DJ public events, fundraisers, corporate parties, school dances, and even BABYSHOWERS! We were happy to be asked to provide a dance floor for a one of a kind special celebration! On top of sound they rented one of our several backdrops for the party. But enough about us. Congratulations to Matt and Jisel and thank you for having us there to help celebrate Callahan!

Apparently 2026 decided that rain was going to be a recurring theme for wedding season. 😂

When Kaleb and Kaileigh had their rehearsal on June 19, the rain came down hard enough that we had to scrap the plans for an outdoor rehearsal. Thankfully, by June 20, the skies cleared and they were rewarded with a beautiful wedding day.

We were honored to be part of this one from beginning to end—officiating the ceremony, providing the sound, and then DJing the reception at the Atchison Event Center.

And what a reception it was.

A great dance floor, an awesome crowd, and one particularly mischievous groomsman who seemed determined to keep things interesting. 😂 The kind of night where the energy never really let up and the dance floor stayed busy.

It's always a privilege to be trusted with so many different pieces of a wedding day, but getting to watch a couple go from rehearsal, to ceremony, to a packed dance floor is pretty special.

Every couple celebrates differently, and that's one of my favorite parts of what I get to do.

When Andrew and Jenna Levis were married on June 15, their reception at Elizabeth's wasn't just about dinner and dancing—it was a reflection of the faith that brought them together.

Before the dance floor ever opened, we helped present a video Andrew created, telling the story of their relationship and the role their shared faith has played throughout their journey. Then, instead of moving straight into the party, they invited family and friends to gather around as Andrew picked up his guitar, microphones were passed around, and the room joined together in worship. It was a powerful reminder that, for them, marriage is about something even bigger than themselves.

Later in the evening, the dance floor filled, the music got louder, and everyone celebrated the newlyweds in their own way. It was a beautiful balance of joy, gratitude, and genuine celebration.

Thank you, Andrew and Jenna, for trusting Sunflower Ceremonies to be a small part of such a meaningful day. Congratulations, and may God continue to bless your marriage.

Sometimes the best wedding stories begin before the wedding day.

When Adler and Allie were married on June 6, the weekend had already thrown everyone a curveball. After nearly five inches of rain Thursday night, flooding and road closures made Friday's rehearsal anything but routine. The wedding party had to share alternate routes just to make sure everyone could find Country Crossings Weddings & Events . Thankfully, by Saturday, the water had gone down, everyone arrived safely, and the day unfolded exactly as it should.

We were honored to provide the ceremony sound while Amy performed the music on piano, then keep the celebration going at the Fisher Community Center Hiawatha, KS for the reception.

What stood out most wasn't the dance floor—it was the people. You could feel how deeply Adler and Allie are loved. Their family and friends were incredibly close, and that love showed itself in every hug, every laugh, and a packed dance floor throughout the night.

The crowd was young, energetic, and ready to celebrate, but what I'll remember most is that nobody wanted the night to end. Family and friends stayed together until the very last song, and then after outside, making memories they'll be talking about for years.

Congratulations to Adler and Allie Koontz, and thank you for trusting Sunflower Ceremonies to be part of such an unforgettable weekend.

Our next spring wedding celebration takes us to March 14th with Brian & Tona, and celebration is definitely the right word!

We had a front-row seat to the day as the DJ for both the ceremony and reception while A.P. took the reins as officiant. It's always fun to watch someone put their own spin on a ceremony, especially when they know the couple as well as A.P. knows these two.

Once the formalities were over, the party was exactly what everyone hoped it would be. Great people, lots of laughs, and a packed dance floor at The Wildflower. Anyone who knows Chubby knew this reception was going to be a good time.. .

Our 2026 spring wedding season kicked off on March 7th with Alexis & Jared at The Silo Wedding & Event Center

We had the honor of serving as both their officiant and DJ, helping with their day from the ceremony all the way through the last dance. The weather kept us on our toes, but the rain held off for a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

From "I do" to a packed dance floor, it was an incredible day filled with love, laughter, and great memories.
