Today, many will gather with family, enjoy a day off, and welcome the start of summer. But before the celebrations begin, we pause to remember.
Memorial Day is not simply about those who served - it is about those who never came home. The sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, husbands, wives, and friends whose sacrifice left an empty chair at a table and a permanent ache in the hearts of those who loved them.
Freedom has a cost. For some families, that cost is carried every day.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We remember their courage, their selflessness, and the loved ones who continue to carry their memory forward.
And for those of us who know what it means to grieve someone deeply, Memorial Day reminds us of something sacred: love does not end when a life does. We keep remembering. We keep telling their stories. We keep speaking their names.
May we never take their sacrifice for granted.
🇺🇸 To those who gave everything - and to the families who continue to carry that sacrifice - we remember, we honor, and we are forever grateful. 🇺🇸
