Asheville Second Line
***Parade will start at 3pm at the S. Lex Stage***

Asheville Second Line is an inclusive community-minded band which was formed to support the growing Asheville Mardi Gras scene.

Their fun costumes, musical energy and street charisma have made them a favorite at local festivals, including LAAF, LEAF, and the annual Mardis Gras Parade. The band is made up of musicians with day jobs dedicated to bringing heritage sounds to the streets of Asheville.
Performing New-Orleans-style second-line music as well as other favorites, the revelrous group was the proud first-place winner of Asheville’s 2017 Holiday parade in the category of “Non-Profit.” It’s the second time the group has taken home parade honors!"

LAAF, Living Asheville Arts Festival is a free, all-local, all-original street festival in downtown Asheville. The event showcases arts of all disciplines and takes place on Sunday, Sept. 2, from 12- 9 PM.

::: This community event is powered by volunteers with roles like setup, decor, beer service, runners, interactive station helpers, breakdown and more! Volunteers earn (2) drink tickets, a t-shirt and food from several tasty restaurants :::
