Lady Slipper orchids are as beautiful as they are deceptive! The slipper-shaped pouch sneakily closes after bees enter in order to cover the bee with pollen. Once they escape, the bees then transfer pollen to other orchids as a way to reproduce! There are even some varieties that can grow up to 16 ft tall! 🌺

Even though monochromatic design may lack variety in color, it allows you to notice and appreciate other floral qualities such as texture and shape. A simplistic elegance!

Ranunculus: latin for “little frog” due to its tendency to grow in swampy areas. This type of buttercup has over 100 petals per flower! The cells within these petals reflect UV light, making them extra glossy as a way to attract pollinators (and reflect on your chin if you played that game as a child!) 🌼

White King Protea! With blooms up to 12” in diameter, the protea family of flowers is one of the oldest on the planet—dating back approximately 300 million years. This is partly due to the fact that most varieties rely on wildfires to help release their long-stored seeds, thus allowing them to reproduce while many other plants died off. Talk about hardy!! These stunning shape-shifter flowers are one of our favorites! ☀️
