Join Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing Asheville for their tournament, SMOKY MOUNTAIN MELEE, on AUGUST 10, 2025 in ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, USA!

Mark your calendars; the Smoky Mountain Melee is returning this August! Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing will be battling it out here in Asheville, NC.

They’ll be running a tried n’ true double-elimination event Sunday, August 10th; this will be a 32-person bracket. Check-in and practice will be at 11am, with announcements and matches commencing at 12pm.

Open throwing will be available Saturday evening at 6pm for all our participants. So come in and get settled, have some drinks and get ready to throw your heart out!

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! While we're only a week or two away from the culminating excitement of Playoffs and the end of Season 1 - Season 2 will be starting in little more than a month, and registration is open now!

We offer 5 awesome options to choose from to find just the right fit for you; traditional co-ed leagues Sunday, Monday and Wednesday; a youth league for throwers 10-17 years old on Tuesdays, and Asheville's only Big Axe league on Sunday afternoons!!

We're a little late to the party. But we wanted to personally congratulate all of our Valhalla throwers that made it onto Round 2 of the Wilson Cup in Toronto, CA this coming summer!!
With four allocated spots and three tournament-circuit finalists, we have seven (that's right, a premier clutch's worth of) throwers making their way to the great north this coming June.
Great throwing everybody, and be sure to limber up!!!

Our axe throwing leagues are gearing up to start soon! Prepare for eight weeks of action-packed fun, friendly competition, and the chance to forge lasting connections with fellow axe enthusiasts. Don't worry if you've never held an axe before; we provide all the expert instruction and top-notch equipment you'll need to get started. We've got a league to suit every skill level and interest, from the competitive Premier and Standard scoring leagues to the powerful Big Axe league and even a dedicated Youth league.

We offer quite an extensive list of accommodations and special perks for our league members. 15% off merch & drinks. discounts as well as a multi league discount.
Only $10 an hour for practice ANY day and time of the week. With over 200 games on our video game bar, billiards, air hockey, shuffleboard, beer, wine, ciders, meads and delicious NA drinks & more!
