Allison and Josh ❤️❤️.

This couple will forever hold a very special place in our little planner hearts. Their original wedding date was September 27th. The day of Hurricane Helene. We began connecting very early that morning as the hurricane beat down upon us. Allison and Josh’s kind and understanding nature throughout the incredibly hard decisions that took place that morning was so beautiful and showed what lovely people these two are.

As we were on the phone, discussing how to move forward, Allison paused as a tree fell on their home. The grace and strength continued to shine through.

Her wedding dress was dropped off the day prior at the rehearsal and hung inside Homewood for weeks, frozen in time. Their specialty cocktail mixers sat in the refrigerator ready to be served but spoiling without power.

We finally got to celebrate these two in April. The love and joy was palpable throughout the whole day. Alli and Josh- thank you for meeting these challenges so beautifully. Your wedding celebration will forever be a part of our story and a reminder of why we love this wild wedding planning job. ❤️

1000 years ago (2016 but happily feels like forever) and I took our engagement pictures with a very close friend Cassie at in the River Arts District with all the amazing graffiti. Today, all of those buildings I drove by almost everyday and reminded me of this photo shoot and our love are a flattened field of dirt.

Today is Earth Day. A day to treat our amazing Mother Nature how we should treat her everyday. And I’m so sad. I’m devastated for our community, for all those that lost their loved ones, homes, businesses, etc.. etc.. This community will never be the same.

But yet, since late September, how many other disasters have taken place? Fires, floods, earthquakes, etc.. climate change, no, climate crisis, is real and will affect us all. Our government does not care. All we can hope for, is that our communities do. Like in the aftermath of Helene, I believe with the current administration, we must ban together. If we lean on and support local in all ways possible, perhaps we can salvage something in the end.

Buy local, shop local, volunteer, help each other, care about our planet. We’ve got this one chance to get this right together.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone! This is my favorite (not major) holiday (bc let’s be real, Christmas season is clearly the best). I love the silly fun of it all. Just enjoying the day.

Krista and Ed and their early Spring wedding reflects all these happy joyful feelings. They certainly picked the best season to make their gorgeous green wedding attire shine.

If green on St Paddy’s Day is good luck AND rain on your wedding day is good luck, this couple is destined for a beautiful life together. But I’d say that’s true either way. 💚💚

Also major props to for absolutely crushing these images. You can feel the happiness, love and joy radiating throughout.

Cheers to International Women’s Day! 🥂🍾

Women are so badass and I’m so lucky to be surrounded by some of the best. The cool thing about the wedding industry is that it’s predominantly women. Hardworking, small business owning women who put their all into it every day. Our clients are also predominately women (grooms, lgbtq+ couples, and all people, who love you too! 💜) so we get to build up women’s ideas and goals daily. What a dream it is.

I, as most, are struggling with the state of our country and attacks on women, people of color, trans people, lgbtq+ people, and anyone that can be deemed as different. Today is just a reminder of our community together, we are here to support and build each other up.

Hugs your ladies a few seconds longer today and express your gratitude. We all literally would not be here if it wasn’t for the incredible strength of women.

Happy love day everyone ❤️❤️

It’s such an amazing gift to be able to celebrate love every day in this business. And I believe one of our biggest assets to our approach to this wild wedding industry is my absolute belief in true love. I see it every single day in my family, my husband and my two girls.

Every wedding and every couple matter so much because I remember the excitement and anticipation leading up to our wedding. I remember the joy of hugging our loved ones and dancing the night away. And my goal is that every single CLE couple gets to enjoy this life moment, fully and utterly, in every hug and well wish, while we take care of the rest.

So Happy Valentine’s Day to all the love birds out there. I hope your love lasts forever and you build a life full of joy just like we have ❤️❤️.
