1. Do they have your preferred date/month available?
2. What packages do they offer? Can they provide a comprehensive breakdown?
3. Do they require you to choose from their vendor list? Or can you bring hire your own?
4. Is catering in-house? If yes, is there a minimum food spend? Can they provide a menu?
5. Do they offer all-inclusive decor items or packages for client use?

Before we jump into the tasks - let me say a big congrats! 🍾You just said yes to your forever partner!

Leading me to my first point - ENJOY IT! Yes you heard me, no wedding planning just yet!

💍 Step 1. Enjoy a few weeks between "YES!" and wedding planning. Take many , go on dates, and enjoy calling your partner your FIANCE (yay!)

💍 Step 2. Determine a budget - Know exactly where you will be pulling money from including who is contributing and how much. Talk to your fiance and family members directly about budget contributions. There's nothing worse than accidentally signing a vendor contract and realizing later that it's over budget.

💍 Step 3. Choose a time to get married - this can be a season, month, or date. Choosing a season or month will give you the most flexibility with your vendor search.

💍 Step 4. Choose a venue - the fun part! How do you picture your wedding day? Indoors, outdoors, elegant winery, modern farmhouse? Keep your budget, time of year, guest count and these things in mind during your search. Make sure to visit venues in person before booking!

One of the most exciting parts part wedding planning (in my opinion) is trying on ALL of the dresses. From mermaid and ballgown to lace and satin - there are so many beautiful options!

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝘆:

💍 Always make an appointment - aim for booking 3-4 weeks or more in advanced.
💍 Bring photos of what type of dresses you like - think color, silhouette, and materials
💍 Less is more for your entourage - bring those who are most important to you and supportive. I suggest 4 or less!
Note: Be sure to check with your salon for guest guidelines!
💍 Be open minded when trying on styles and trust your consultant - this is what they do best!
💍 Order your dress at least 8 months before your wedding and start shopping around 10-11 months!

Don't worry about what others want for YOUR wedding!

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲'𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿! it's not about doing what other people want.

Your mom, FMIL, or grandma will most likely have opinions - this comes from a place of love and excitement for your big day! But it doesn't mean that you have to go along with 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 suggestion they make.

Your wedding day should be uniquely representative of you and your fiance -

Say goodbye to all the things that don't make you 110% excited for your wedding! There's no such thing as a "traditional" wedding anymore so make it yours!
