-Read beyond the current lesson to familiarize yourself with class content. It pays off later.
-Ask for help: Email instructor and utilize instructor office hours
-Connect with at least 2 other classmates & collaborate when needed.

In our AACC Concert Band, Paul Dembowski is director. For most performances, students perform in an evening of fascinating music! The month of June is LGBTQIA+ pride month! Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, Intersex, Asexual+ Pride Month is in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, New York. The first Pride march in New York City was held on June 28, 1970, on the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States and the last Sunday in June was initially celebrated as "Gay Pride Day." However, the actual day was flexible. In major cities across the nation, the "day" soon grew to encompass a month-long series of events. Today, celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, workshops, symposia and concerts. LGBTQIA+ Pride Month events attract millions of participants around the world.
