Weather is always the toughest call for an outdoor event, and West Annapolis Business Association handled it like champs! With the Nor’easter headed our way, and Oceans Calling canceling, the easy way out would have been to cancel. But WABA stood strong and stuck to their advertisement of “rain or shine”. Once we heard from that they were comfortable with the tents with the predicted wind speed, and they knew safety was taken care of, there was no stopping WABA! ☔️

So we pulled out our rain boots and rain coats, and off we went! And the vendors and the guests showed up!!! Sure, some vendors pulled out, and we absolutely understood. But the ones who came, were all in - They had smiles on their faces all day!

And the people showed up - kids, dogs, strollers, costumes and fantastic attitudes! They shopped, ate, drank, and danced like troopers!

The West Annapolis Oktoberfest was a HIT! Thank you for bringing me in and being a part of this community for a couple of months. 🧡 It was so fun, and the Board at West Annapolis Business Association is the bomb! Prost to you! 🍻

Birthdays are funny, aren’t they? As long as they keep coming, we have every reason to be grateful! ☺️ But they also give us a chance to pause, reflect, and appreciate how far we’ve come.

For me, this past year was a year of coming out of my cocoon. Physically and mentally, I feel strong, and I plan to keep that momentum going into this next year. 💪💕

One of my focuses lately has been connecting people. I find so much joy in bringing people together and watching how perfectly they fit. There’s something so special about seeing what they can create together. 💕

I also plan to continue on the exciting journey I’ve started of building new relationships. You never know what interesting connection is waiting just around the next corner!

So, as I celebrated another year around the sun yesterday, I want to say THANK YOU today.

Thank you to all of you who are part of this wonderful adventure called life. I’m grateful for the connections, the experiences, the lessons, and all the beautiful surprises along the way. 💖🎂💗

Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and new adventures! 🥂✨

I’ve been on the periphery of Leadership Anne Arundel for many many years. A large number of people I love and admire are graduates. I always thought it was something I would love to do, and then Imposter Syndrome would kick in. “Why do I think they would want me?” “What could I possibly offer to that group?”

And then something clicked this year when I saw that the application process was open. I decided to go for it! What did I have to lose? And when I started telling people I was applying and I started asking for recommendations, I received such encouragement and love. I thought this is my chance!

So here I am! I’m still on the high from the 2 day Kickoff, and I’m so excited to see what the next 10 months has in store!

Thank you Leadership Anne Arundel for this amazing opportunity! And to all my new classmates and friends, Let’s Do This!!
