In all my years DJing weddings, I can honestly say I’ve never seen a groom kick off his dress shoes and slackline across the lawn in a full suit and tie.

The unscripted realities of running live ceremony sound at Ray's Boathouse! 🕷️😳🎧

I am NOT a spider fan. In my head at that exact moment, that spider felt HUGE—especially when he unexpectedly dropped down on a thread just inches from my face right in the middle of the ceremony!

When you're controlling the microphones for a live wedding, the couple and guests come first. No flinching, no sudden movements, and no ruining the audio on their big moment.

I kept my cool, made sure the ceremony ran seamlessly, and quietly signaled a staff member who grabbed me a broom right in the middle of the service so I could brush our 8-legged guest away without missing a beat.

Rule #1 of live events: Expect the unexpected and always keep your composure! 🕷️🧹✨
