Congratulations to CVPA Senior Art IV students that received college scholarships from the Dallas Cowboys and Whataburger!

The Cowboys have a long standing partnership with Arlington ISD Visual Art. Students in 5th grade, 8th grade, and Art IV tour the stadium and take part in a culminating art show at AT&T Stadium. Each class creates a unique piece inspired by the Cowboys! The CVPA Art IV piece this year is incredible and can be seen at our end of year show at the CVPA on May 15.

Special thanks to the Jones family, Whataburger Dallas Cowboys and Linh Nguyen, Assistant Fine Arts Director for Arlington ISD. Congratulations seniors!

Congratulations to CVPA students Keira Cloud and Monizz Sanchez who competed at the State of Texas Visual Arts Scholastic Event last weekend. Across the state, 32,518 works were adjudicated, and only 2,362 qualified for State!

Monizz received the high score of 4, and Keira received the Gold Seal award. Only 164 students in the entire state were selected as Gold Seal winners! This is Keira's 3rd time receiving this top honor.

Way to go Monizz and Keira!

Happy Administrative Professional's Day!
The CVPA would like to recognize our wonderful CVPA and Fine Arts secretaries!

-Kimberly Whiteside is the CVPA School secretary. She is absolutely an integral part of our team and she does so much for our students and staff!
- Erica Williams is the CVPA Venue secretary. She helps organize the many performances and events throughout the year, and provides great customer service to our clients.
- Rhonda Caesar & Teresa Davenport are the amazing secretaries for the Department of Fine Arts for Arlington ISD. Every fine arts teacher in the district would join in saying thank you for the incredible work these two do each day to support all fine arts staff!

We are so grateful for these four fabulous ladies!

Mark Schmedinghoff from Western Iowa Technical School visited CVPA instrument repair students and shared what this class looks like at the collegiate level, and advanced students visited the shop at Music & Arts!

The CVPA hosted the third annual Fanfare Piano Festival this weekend!

Piano students from the CVPA, as well as Jones, Corey, Gunn, and Arlington High Fine Arts Dual Language Academies played for professional judges, and received feedback and scores. Over 100 students participated!

These 40 standout performers were invited back to play for the honor concert.

It was a beautiful day of music and community!
