I wanted to relay the very sad news that Christi Bowers, the creator and owner of this group, passed away July 30th following an illness. Many of you came to know Christi, as I did, through her love of dance and promotion of such in the NVA area. Earlier this year she added me as an admin on this page so that I could address questions and keep an eye on it as she handled her medical concerns. A number of you reached out and asked about Christi and the events she had been running and I individually noted that we hoped to be back to running events again. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse.
On a personal note, I will be forever grateful to Christi for the opportunities she gave to me in the dance community and the faith and goodwill that she extended toward me.
For those interested in attending her memorial service on 8/27 and/or sending their condolences I have included a link to her obituary in this post. I'm not certain at this time what is to become of this FB group. I hope to gain insight into her wishes with her family in the near future.
