A Louisiana tradition is making Red Beans and Rice on Mondays. ❤️❤️The story goes, as it was told to me by my old assistant when living in New Orleans, laundry and house cleaning was done on Mondays so they would make it. It’s usually takes about 2-3 hours depending on how much you’re making, and by the time the beans cooked and finished, laundry and cleaning was finished.

I was taught the recipe and how to make authentic Bean and Rice by my assistant and one of my Sous
Chefs at my restaurants. I’ve been making it now for 17 years along with other creole dishes as well.
