Alyssa & Brennon’s engagement session on family family land in Virginia was one of those evenings that just *felt* like them — quiet fields, golden light, and a place that holds generations of memories. Nothing tells a love story quite like a location that already means something to you, and these two made it effortless.

Beyond the sweet photos, this is exactly why I’m such a believer in engagement sessions before the wedding day. It’s our chance to get comfortable together, find your natural rhythm in front of the camera, and build a little trust before the big day arrives. By the time your wedding comes, you won’t feel posed or stiff — it’ll just feel like hanging out with someone who already knows you and how you move together.

And honestly? That comfort shows in every single image.

Love was in the air as Brie and Eric exchanged vows at a stunning Airbnb, Whiskey Rock, atop the mountains of Barnardsville, North Carolina. With vibrant autumn leaves and majestic peaks as their backdrop, their wedding day felt like a fairytale. ✨🍂 The bride, radiant in a long white wedding gown and a gorgeous matching veil, carried a gorgeous bouquet crafted by her maid of honor.

Surrounded by just 15 of their closest friends and family, Eric & Bries intimate ceremony was filled with warmth and joy. Their friends were so welcoming and I felt for a couple of hours, a part of their family and not just their wedding photographer. No rushing around, just a simple, laid back, candid afternoon with of course their fur baby, Hershey, who was the star of the show.

Say hello to Jaycee!! 🌸 She’s a senior at Clyde A. Erwin High School who’s not only an athlete (softball, volleyball + basketball!) but also diving into photography herself.

I’ve loved having Jaycee on my senior rep team this year—she’s thoughtful, gorgeous inside + out, and brings such a sweet energy to every shoot. ✨

One of the best parts of the rep program? You get to be part of fun styled shoots AND have your own senior session! Jaycee chose the NC Arboretum for hers, and her spring outfits + pops of color fit the gardens perfectly. 🌿🌺

Being a rep means more confidence in front of the camera, extra shoots, and memories you’ll hold onto forever. 💕
