The Humboldt County Fair has asked for our help with Greeting, Traffic, and Parking at the Ferndale Fairgrounds, coming right up:

Position: Attendant First Class; No experience necessary but TVP experience preferred, $16/hour up to 40 hours per week. Shifts available Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 8pm. All training and gear provided.

We are a group of staff and volunteers who enjoy participating in festivals for fun, friends, glory, and perks. We get contracted to work a variety of events specializing in friendly jobs including greeting, traffic, parking, camping, wristbanding, or directing patrons maximizing fun and safety.

We are doing Cannifest September 9th & 10th at Halvorsen Park in Eureka, CA.
Tons of amazing offerings at this open consumption event celebrating all aspects of cannabis culture.
Huge lineup includes the Dead Pres, Kabaka Pyramid, Think X, Don Carlos, Balkan Bump, Object Heavy, and many others.

We are still accepting applications for Cannifest, September 9th & 10th at Halvorsen Park in Eureka, CA. Our volunteers will have free onsite camping available.

Reggae Canceled .
High Times just officially announced they are canceling Reggae on the River 2019.
Whatever your views about High Times this represents a considerable blow to our community. I want to give a huge shout out to all the people that have contributed so much effort and love to this event over the years. It was an absolute pleasure working with all of you.

I have been in negotiations with High Times for months about Traffic and Parking at Reggae on the River 2019. We offered to beat any price and I am sure we offer the best service. High Times contacted me a few days ago and said they had decided not to use our longstanding Traffic and Parking Crew.

I'm obviously extremely disappointed, I've been working Reggae with my close friends since I was a kid. I am extraordinarily honored to have been part of the team we built together and the magnificent level of dedication we made the new normal. We established a culture of helpfulness, festival wide cooperation, fun, and by-golly actual safety that we should all be extremely proud of.

I think High Times is making a mistake in not using our team of devoted experienced locals, but I honestly wish them the very best. High Times came in at a time when the Mateel was in real trouble. We all want this event to succeed. They have a different model than we are used to, however I hope it works out both for their sake and for the good of our community.

We are excited about our next festival, Northern Nights Music Festival this July 19-21 at the Humboldt/Mendocino county line. We are actively seeking volunteers for this event. Apply at https://TheVolunteerPeople.com
