Around here, summer isn’t measured in months. It’s measured in dahlias, overflowing buckets, and trying to squeeze in just one more arrangement before the season changes.

School starts soon. I’m definitely ready for my son to head back. But watching another flower season slip away? That part is always bittersweet.
