For this celebration, Filipino and Jewish traditions were thoughtfully woven into the ceremony, honoring the histories that shaped them while creating something entirely their own. A little introduction (or reintroduction) for those who are new around here. 🥂✨

Hi, I’m Kayla! The owner, founder, and lead planner behind Dragonfly Events & Co.

I’m the girl who loves a beautifully curated tablescape, thoughtful details, and those little moments that make a wedding feel unmistakably you.

Outside of weddings? I’m a wife, a mama of two, a lover of a good martini (extra dirty, please!), and someone who’s lucky enough to have turned a passion into a career I absolutely adore.

After spending several years in the wedding planning industry, I decided it was time to spread my wings (pun fully intended 😉) and create something of my own. I had my own vision, my own ideas, and quite frankly, I wanted to do things my way.

I wanted to build something rooted in genuine connections, intentional design, and the belief that weddings should be just as meaningful as they are beautiful.

And so, Dragonfly Events & Co. was born. 🤍

What started as my own vision has grown into an incredible team of planners who share that same passion, bringing creativity, organization, and a whole lot of heart to every celebration.

I’m equal parts creative vision and organized chaos (the good kind, of course). You’ll find me bringing a design to life, perfecting a timeline, bustling a dress, or making sure every last detail is exactly where it belongs.

And if you catch me tearing up during the parent dances? Just mind your business. 🥹

At the heart of it all, I believe your wedding should tell your story, feel like you, and be an experience you’ll never forget.

Her style leans classic and timeless, drawn to celebrations that feel elegant, intentional, and beautiful without trying too hard. But what really defines Jess is the way she shows up for people. She is warm, kind, and almost always the first person to greet you with a smile.

On a wedding day, Jess is already thinking ten steps ahead. She has a way of anticipating what is needed before anyone has to ask, quietly keeping everything moving while making sure the people around her feel taken care of.

And when the moment calls for it, she is absolutely your hype girl too. Whether she is cheering you on before you walk down the aisle, celebrating the little wins throughout the day, or simply being the reassuring presence you did not realize you needed, Jess brings an ease and genuine kindness that people naturally gravitate toward.

For her, planning a wedding is not just about making sure everything happens when it should. It is about creating a day where you feel supported, celebrated, and completely present for it all.

Meet Ernest, one of the lead planners for Dragonfly Events & Co. Equal parts whimsy, polish, and just the right amount of chaos.

His design eye tends to live somewhere between romantic, vintage, and a little unexpected. Think beautiful things with personality: layered textures, thoughtful details, an interesting chair, a dramatic floral moment, and choices that feel collected rather than simply coordinated.

Maybe it’s the dental hygienist in him, but Ernest has an eye for the details that most people miss. He loves the precision of a well-planned day, the satisfaction of seeing every element fall into place, and the challenge of keeping things moving without making the experience feel overly managed. Consider it clinical attention to detail, reimagined with florals, fashion, and a much better playlist.

On a wedding day, Ernest brings the energy. He’s equal parts calm presence, comic relief, and the person making sure everyone still feels like themselves in the middle of a very big day. He knows when to lock in and when the best thing he can do is make people laugh.
