I know the year isn’t over but WOW has 2025 been a whirlwind of blessings, hard work, rewarding challenges, surprises, some losses and the occasional hardship. I only have one more wedding to design this year so the main focus is recovery from a broken ankle and guiding my team through closing down the flower farm for the season. Just two weeks after breaking my ankle at a wedding set up I had to say goodbye to my sweetest baby girl. It’s enough to knock me down and then some. But my ankle fracture required no surgery, just some patience and time. And when I knew our little miss puppy girl of almost twelve years was going to cross the rainbow bridge I decided I couldn’t let that get me down. I wanted to honor her by focusing on my gratitude that she hung on with me for one more sweet summer and all of the things she taught me all these years. I will miss her smiling face poking out of the flower beds the most. And the way she sat near me while I worked or trampled my plants and stole cucumbers. It feels like the closing of a huge chapter in my life and there is an empty space where she once was. My husband and I will miss Opha Mae forever. She was our baby girl. But thankfully we have her fur siblings to pour our love into. I feel broken hearted but also inspired and like I have somehow gained her zest for life and stubborn will. 2025 has been one for the book I may write someday. Theme: attaining happiness and incredible growth through adversity.

I’m horrible about posting on here but you can blame these little beauties 😉 I have been immensely distracted with my growing season. And since it is so short lived I’m taking in every moment and bloom I can. The dahlias are my favorite but did you know they only typically bloom for about two months!? Sometimes less than that if the weather is struggling. If you LOVE dahlias and want them in your wedding designs you should aim for an august or September wedding in Wisconsin. October gets tricky!

It’s dahlia bouquet season! Check out this tequila sunrise beauty with earthy accents! You guessed it! 💯percent homegrown right here on my flower farm ! It is very difficult to get dahlias shipped in for a wedding design. They don’t do well in shipping, especially the dahlias with softer petals. So if you are a couple getting married in Wisconsin and you want dahlias you better plan an august or September wedding! Dahlias are considered a luxury bloom, but with the right farmer florist (like me) you can have all the dahlias you want 😘💐

Maybe I spend far too much time on it, but I truly love pouring myself into the perfect selection of blooms for the curation of the event I am working on. I think it matters so much and I should probably be better about sharing meaning behind flowers, design direction and where these lovely blooms come from.
As most of you know, I am a flower farmer. And as I have gained more intimate knowledge of local blooms as well as expanded my network of growers I can purchase from it is a moment of pride to be able to have a special story behind who and where a design was able to be created.
For Chris and Sarah’s island vibes nuptials I wanted to honor our Wisconsin temperate climate as well as bring in the signature tropical elements of the islands. For this amazing couple I reached out to a farmer in California who supplied palms and protea direct to me, freshly cut. I also sourced an innumerable amount of blooms from fellow Wisconsin growers. As well as some of my own flowers.
It almost brings more joy to my creativity and makes my hands come alive as I design. There is a different energy to it.
Congratulations Chris & Sarah! Thank you for your inspirational celebration! I will always remember it!

My Story

I began this adventure in February 2015 shortly after planning & having my own wedding. As a small child I would dream of one day opening a wedding super center, and often found myself dabbling with flowers, crafts, art, home décor, holiday projects, photography, you name it! I don’t think I ever thought I would actually start a wedding business when I grew up, but I could not be more content & proud of myself as a woman entrepreneur.

I LOVE meeting new couples and hearing about their personal vision of their wedding day. I can picture it as they write or speak. And then to be able to take flowers and evoke that dream, that vision is my happiness! It never, ever gets old for me to see each and every couple’s big day come true and come to life. Because it lives in our minds only for SO long!

I just want to continue to grow within my craft, build satisfying relationships with my couples and have this be my amazing job for as long as I can possibly still derive joy from it! You can bet I am excited to hear from and begin the process of showing how flowers can give you that incredible added touch to your day! Have you ever envisioned a photograph from a wedding without flowers in it? There’s just something about those flowers that makes it all come full circle. That, “ahhhh...this is just right” feeling; the cherry on the wedding sundae.
