HI! I am Amber- Owner and lead planner here at Peony Event Planning! Wanted to show my face and have you get to know a little bit about me and why I do what I do!!

Weddings have always been a big part of my life which started with watching say yes to the dress and four weddings with my mom, I always loved everything weddings and when I got married in 2022 and helped plan my wedding within 3 months (yikes) It showed me that maybe I could actually do what I have always wanted to do.
So here we are, in our 3rd wedding season, and have had weddings featured in magazines and was a 2026 finalist for best wedding planner by Wisconsin Bride. Not only that but I have made so many friends within this industry who I get to learn from! It’s very surreal and I am so thankful for all the blessings that have come our way.

Here’s some fun facts about Myself and Peony Event Planning!

If I was not a wedding planner, I would of been a florist!!

I call my couples my little peonies ( I know its silly but I like it)

We have completed over 50 weddings and will be rounding out 2026 with 80 weddings completed!

All my packages are named after my dogs ( Finn, Penny & Cooper— even though I have 7 animals in total)

I quit my corporate job in the Beer supply chain In 2025 and have not looked back!

My favorite part of a wedding is dance floor opening and the couple is now fully able to take a breath and just enjoy the moment with their loved ones.

My go to “wedding cigarette” is a Kiddie Cocktail because I am basically a 4 yr. Old ( cherries are a must)

I got married to the LOML in 2022 in a gorgeous American-Mongolian wedding!

I live on the border of Wisconsin which allows me to be easily accessible to Chicago or Milwaukee and surrounding areas!

I love all things glitter and bows in my hair, but don’t let that fool you as I’m a proud elder emo who can switch it up and belt out Wicked and then rap to lil Wayne 🫶🏻. Want to know more?! Reach out! Tell me all about you!! 🤍🤍

Still can’t get over this day, and it hasn’t even been a week yet! Danielle and Matt’s wedding day was truly beautiful.

It’s not very often that I get to be there with my couples during getting ready, first looks, and those quieter moments since we’re usually busy setting up for the day — but when a venue has tables, linens, and place settings ready by 9am, I actually get the chance to be present for it all.

Watching the love they have for each other throughout the entire day was so special. The emotions between the two of them were so genuine, and honestly, it still makes me emotional just thinking back on their day!

We’re so honored to share that Peony Event Planning was named a finalist for Wisconsin Brides Best of 2026 for Best Wedding Planner! While we didn’t take home the win, being recognized alongside so many talented professionals is truly such an honor. A huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated and to all of this year’s winners!

It’s especially meaningful because we are still a newer company, currently in our third wedding season. With over 50 weddings completed and 30 more already booked, I’m constantly reminded how lucky I am to do what I love every single day. Being trusted to play a role in one of the happiest and most important days in someone’s life is something I never take for granted.

This past year has brought plenty of highs and lows. Navigating personal challenges, growing a business, building a team, and prioritizing my health, but I wouldn’t change any of it. Am I still learning? Absolutely. I’m far from perfect, but I’m committed to continuing to grow as a business owner, teammate, friend, sister, wife, and person overall.

Most importantly, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to my friends, family, vendor community, and everyone who has supported me since this business was just an idea. Thank you to every couple who trusted a girl with a dream to be part of their wedding day. And thank you to all of the incredible “friendors” I’ve met along the way. This industry is filled with some truly amazing people, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

The moments before you walk down the aisle… there’s so much building up to it. The nerves, the excitement, the tears, the laughter… all of it at once.

Right before the music really starts, before you see your person waiting at the end of the aisle… sometimes that’s when it all hits you and at Jake & Molly’s wedding, that’s exactly what happened.

The music was playing, the bridal party was already walking, and then it was her turn. The doors open, the music shifts and all of a sudden, it hits. I’m about to marry my best friend.

It wasn’t sadness. It was that overwhelming happiness you’ve been waiting for… finally happening right in front of you.

I remember already recording and pausing for a second, wondering if I should stop—but it was such a real, raw moment. (What you don’t see is me crying behind the camera… and honestly, I’m crying again writing this because it was just that beautiful.)

The photos say everything to me. Your parents standing by your side, ready to watch their child marry the love of their life.
This is a moment I’ll never forget. Easily one of my favorite memories.
Moments like this are why I love what I do. How amazing is it to say that my job is to be a part of someone’s happiest day of their life 🤍 and YES, I did ask the bride if I could post this since it’s a more intimate moment!
