Hydrangeas hate heat.

I was so excited about doing these flowers for Piper’s ceremony. I used some greenery I have been wanting to use, I ordered the beautiful blue hydrangeas & blue delphiniums…the first three pictures are the ones I planned and the ones I took pictures of as soon as we finished them.

However, when we went back out to the ceremony site about an hour later all 16 blue hydrangeas had died. Ugh. Sometimes Mason can revive them…not today, they were gone. Me, Mason & Woody got to work filling in with lots more roses, white stock, white delphinium & white wax flower. The last two pictures are the flowers the guests saw when they arrived. Yes, they’re pretty & I’m glad we were once again able to save the day but those blue hydrangeas would have been so pretty. But….hydrangeas hate this Alabama heat and the blue ones hate it the worst.
