What an amazing weekend! Photos just don't do these weddings justice! We were all over the DMV this weekend making wedding dreams come true! How can we help you?

7 Steps to Planning a Wedding That's Totally You

What do 99.9% of couples struggle with when planning a wedding, and the one thing that you probably hadn't really thought about? " How do we make our wedding about us?"

Gone are the days of the cookie cutter wedding ceremony and reception. The #1 item our clients ask us for are ways to put their personal stamp on their wedding. We are way past monograms, loves. Now we are asking, "where did you meet? Can we incorporate something from your first date into your wedding? What is his favorite hobby? Would that make an amazing groom's cake? What flowers did your grandmother grow in her garden? Can we incorporate them into your bouquet?

If you want to personalize your wedding and don't know where to start, give us a call. We are here to personalize your dream day!

You'll have to sort through a lot of options in the months to come—here's how to keep the big picture in mind.

Cupcakes or classic wedding cake?

That is a question that our couples ask us every day.
Our answer: what is your budget?
Because a well made tiered wedding cake averages about $6 per person. Yes! A cake that feeds 100 guests can cost upwards of $600!! Yikes! Not everyone has that type of budget so cup cakes are a great alternative. Plus, bakers now see the value in cupcakes and have created some really fantastic tiered display trays.

Ultimately, your wedding cake should be based on you and your fiance's preferences. So ask yourselves: what do I want to eat on my wedding night? There's your answer.

We are here to help. Need assistance for a wedding this summer or fall? We still have limited availability so message us now!!

Wedding wednesday question of the day: which cake do you like best?

While we work with couples for weddings 90% of the time, there is always room in our schedule for other special events.

This bat mitzvah was a blast! We are not sure who had more fun, the adults or the kids!!

What do you do when a couple calls you to plan their two weeks? You call all of your favorite vendors and make it happen.

Wonderful weekend in Washington D.C. Stunning ballroom at the Mayflower.

Two weeks? No sweat. Leave the dirty work to us!

One of our brides recently asked us to help her create a wedding that showcased her personality and her groom's favorite thing: Guinness! A fabulous Irish- Italian fusion wedding with blue and green everywhere and mini bottles of Guiness stout for all!

Flowers were not her "thing" but she loved jade plants. Solution: mini jade plants that doubled as favors and centerpieces.

Not a typical table setting but neither was this couple! Cheers to those that write their own rules...we are here to help!

So on this wedding Wednesday, we have a question: Yes or no on this rice krispie cake?

Wedding Wednesday is upon us and I can't help but think of the wonderful couple that we worked with this past weekend. I love them! Navy and coral with a large helping of love in the middle!

Getting married? Give us a call...we would love to help you find your wedding joy.

10 Things Your Wedding Guests Don't Care About

Hello there! Happy Wedding Wednesday!
As we are well into the thick of wedding season, I wanted to share a fantastic blog post (no, I did not write it). Sometimes brides, and grooms, get so caught up in all of the extras that they forget the important parts of the whole day. Save the money on favors and add in a wonderful signature drink. Instead of buying a guest book that you are never going to us, take that money and buy a beautiful coffee table book. Make it something that the two of you love (the city you got engaged in, your favorite style of cooking, favorite musicians, etc.) and let your guests sign next to a photo that they like.

If you are already one of our fabulous brides, then you have heard us say these same things at least 10 times! If you are not yet one of our fabulous brides....what are you waiting for? Come join us and let us bring a bit of fabulousness to your wedding!!

Feeling stressed? Well, here are 10 things your wedding guests don't care about--at all. (Plus a few things they do!)

I love weddings! Fabulous couple! Platinum and ivory...pure elegance. &joy

And so it begins.

It's almost time for a wedding! Photos of this lovely production to follow.

Fall is approaching and that means fall weddings! We love the colors and flavors of fall. Today's Thirsty Thursday cocktail is a perfect fall signature drink. The beauty of this beauty is that you can match the garnish to reflect your wedding colors! Cheers!

Bridal Shower Inspiration!

Happy Wedding Wednesdays loves! As much as we love the actual wedding, there are so many other pieces to your whole wedding experience. One important piece is the bridal shower or luncheon. This is often the first opportunity for many of your guests to get a taste of what to expect on your wedding day. Branding, monograming, customizing! It all matters and gives everyone a glimpse into your bridal vision. Have fun with it!

Here is a great article from Caroline Dutton Events (We Adore her)!

It's Saturday, so that means we are helping another couple on their wedding day! Stay tuned, more photos to follow as the day unfolds!

Do you know the difference? As a bride (or groom) it is important that you understand the difference and why it is so important to have a wedding planner.

Your venue coordinator, works for that specific venue. They are responsible for making sure that all of your food and beverage requests are taken care. Typically, you will work with them to contract and secure the date at your venue. They may offer suggestions for vendors, provide you with a menu tasting, work with you on the room diagram and even be available on the day of your wedding to make sure that all of your vendors get set and are ready at your agreed start time.

Sounds great, right? And, in all honesty, usually it is. The question becomes, who is going to lead your ceremony rehearsal? Who is going to take care of your toasting flutes, special cake knife, framed photos and even your gifts at the end of the night? Who is going to make sure that your grandmother knows where to go for that special family photo that you wanted to have? Who is going to sit with you and help you plan around your budget, line everyone in your party up for introductions or even fix the hem on your maid of honors dress when she steps on it after the ceremony (don't laugh, it has happened)!? Your wedding planner, that's who! Your wedding planner's only job on the day of your wedding is to take care of you and your family. She (or he) is the one that will make sure that everything that you dreamed of for this day comes true. She is the person that will remember all of the small details that are important for you. She is the person that will make sure that all of your gifts are secured at the end of the night so that you can hit the after party without worry.

Next week we will share with you how a wedding planner can actually save you thousands (yes, I said thousands) of dollars when it's time to plan your wedding.

We just love to make sure our couples are prepared. Kids activity table...ready to go! &joy

For this Thirsty Thursday, we thought we would share the "blushing bride"...champagne (or prosecco), passion fruit nectar, grenadine and fresh berries for garnish. The perfect shade of pink! Very Shelby from Steel Magnolias. We LOVE that movie! Cheers!

For today's Thirsty Thursday, how about a classic that is making a comeback in a BIG way! We have had 10 couples for this summer request this delicious Moscow mule as a part of their signature drink menu. Vodka, ginger beer, mint and lime...what's not to love. While the copper mug is completely optional it does make a really cool addition to your summer bar. Cheers!
