Even if you opt not to do a first look, doing a first touch is a beautiful way to carve out a few special moments before the ceremony.

I can't say enough about this session! We saw the sky and the potential for rain, and said, who cares? We are going to do this session anyway! This beautiful family rolled with the tide, and our session could not have been more perfect! Dramatic skies and perfect hair for the first half, and raw emotion and energy for the second half. I loved every minute. Don't let dark skies scare you. Sometimes, that is where the magic is.

In spite of the rain, this day was absolutely magical. The energy that they brought was infectious, in the good way. So much love, from Anna and Ryan and Anna and her sisters (there may have been a rap speech. ;) ), to all the family just celebrating. It was a great night at the I am just getting around to posting. It has been a busy summer. Anyone who has kids knows that summertime, without kids camps, equals no time for mama. So here we are on the second day of school and slayin it.

When people are trying to decide where to do engagement photos we usually go to either 1) some place pretty 2) some place fun or 3) somewhere that means a lot to the couple. I loved that we could incorporate all three of these points in their engagement session. These two met at the Sound Garden in Fells Points and had a lot of firsts together that they were able to point out to me, so we could document that. It was a great way to photograph both their relationship now and how it started. I can't wait to celebrate next year with this couple!

It is where you will begin your life together married. Yes, I love gorgeous venues, but don't think you have to have that perfect space to celebrate the two of you.

Maybe because I am a mama, but those getting ready photos with mom and her daughter are just so so precious to me. I always try to take a moment, and let them just e together in stillness to soak it all in. The day is busy, but slow it down when you can, and savor the joy of sharing this with one another.

Thinking of warmer weather now that we are in the thick of winter. Rusty and April got married at one of my favorite venues. Baywood Weddings Classically beautiful and 100 places to take gorgeous photos, Baywood in Delaware is swoon worthy for sure. Rusty and April, this was such a good day! I can't believe the rain held off, and everything was just so perfect. Here is to celebrating you both!!

Love where you live. All these beach vibe summer weddings are just what my soul needs to be in my happy place. Maryland has so many gorgeous venues, and so many beautiful water venues. But few sunsets are as perfect as they are at . This day could not have been more perfect for the long awaited wedding of J and C. It was a night to remember though, and oh so worth it. Congratulations to you both!!

Some couples don't want to see each other before the ceremony, and that is okay! But it doesn't mean you can't have a couple of moments before you walk down the aisle together, to enjoy the moments before your ceremony together. Ask about doing a "First touch" if you love this idea.

My most favorite thing about Taylor and Cyrus's wedding is that they were able to merge two beautiful cultures together, and represent their individuality and the beauty of who they are separately. Then by joining their two separate backgrounds together, are able to create something new, and beautiful. It torrentially down poured on their wedding at Herrington on the Bay, but the day was full of beauty, love, and laughter and a whole lot of epic dancing.

I loved meeting so many beautiful families in 2021. There is no way, I can highlight everyone, but I love each and everyone of you. This year was the first year I really focused on photographing families and newborns, and I can't wait to see where 2022 takes us! Happy New Year!
