The Annapolis Wine Expo A Celebration of National and International Wines! There are two sessions from which to choose: Session I 12:00 noon - 2:30 pm and Session II 3:30 - 6:00 pm.

For one day --- May 11, 2013 --- the “sailing capital of the nation” becomes a wine connoisseur paradise during The Annapolis Wine Expo. In cooperation with Southern Wine and Spirits, over 100 national and international wines

to suit every palate will be served at this “indoor wine festival” where guests move between wine stations while tasting light hors d’oeuvres. It was a great event! And now, we are preparing for The Annapolis Arts, Crafts, and Wine Festival featuring 20 + Maryland wineries; 200 regional and national artists and crafters; and a larger, enhanced Kids'Art component with musical and theatrical performances, including The Children's Theatre of Annapolis. Our guest sommelier who will be presenting our seminars: SeJose "Alex" Rodriguez is a Fine Wine Specialist for Southern Wine & Spirits in the Washington, D.C. metro area where he manages the company's fine wine portfolio in the region, working with some of the top restaurants in the District. Prior to joining Southern, Rodriguez spent nearly 10 years working at all levels in the fine dining industry, most recently as a sommelier/manager at Il Gabbiano, voted best Italian restaurant in Miami by Zagat in 2012. He received his sommelier certificate from the United States Sommelier Association and has studied industrial engineering at Florida International University and Universidad Industrial de Santander. Rodriguez is a native of Colombia and currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife.
