Last weekend was McKenzie and Sean’s wedding, which was absolute perfection. This sweet couple planned a summer-y, citrus-inspired party full of love and laughter. It was an absolute joy designing florals to enhance their big day.

What will you learn at the Design Workshop?.1. Principles of Design - You will learn from me, Kate from and Emma from . We will be teaching airy, romantic bouquets, 2 styles of centerpieces and a full scale ceremony installation. In addition to being able to watch our educators design, you will have time to design your own pieces with our team's feedback.
2. Sales and Marketing - So many creatives are amazing at their art, but have no idea what to do next. That's where sales and marketing strategies come in. Whether you're looking to build your business or just understand how best to market yourself to design studios as a freelancer, you'll learn tools to help tackle this, sometimes, uncomfortable subject.
3. Mechanics - We will be teaching the art of elevated design with a variety of different mechanics, including foam-free. This is a great opportunity to learn the proper way to use chicken wire, how to use your hands to create an airy, romantic arrangement, or how to use foliage to help support florals in installations.
4. Community - We all need community. And as a business owner in a creative field, I can tell you that community is everything. From being able to bounce ideas off of someone on a business/pricing matter, to needing an extra set of hands on a large-scale project-you can never have too many like-minded creatives in your circle. Use this workshop as an opportunity to network with some new faces and help build your community.
5. Portfolio - To build a business in the creative realm, you have to show what you can do. And the best way to do so is through beautiful, professional imagery. We will have the incredibly talented with us throughout the workshop capturing the behind the scenes moments and your beautiful creations to help build your portfolio.

We love a chinoiserie moment and have a large collection of vintage and modern vessels to use in your event. .Growing up, my grandmother and mother collected them and so they are sentimental to me. I know many of my clients have similar memories of the beautiful blue and white pottery.

What a big week for Floret & Vine! Announcing our first ever design workshop is just such a dream, and I thank you all for the tremendous support!.I also did some updates to the website, which will be outlined on here next week, and met with a few amazing wedding planners to discuss 2024 and 2025 projects.
Wow! Now, I am sitting on the couch, snuggled up with my pups catching up on e-mails and just feeling so grateful for this business and this community that continues to grow.

The flowers for Margot and Bobby's wedding were lush, romantic and inspired by her mom's endless gardens on the property where the wedding took place. .We took inspiration from the multiple varieties of climbing roses and overflowing English-style gardens to ensure the wedding decor looked as if we cut the flowers from the gardens themselves.
We added herb-green taper candles in crystal candlesticks and votives to finish the tablescapes. A hand-painted watercolor table number completed the display.
