Kenji Lee’s new Fortune Teller Trio album is powered by sonic intuition, improvisational generosity, and a reverence for the mystical. We spoke to the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance grad and Washtenaw County jazz mainstay about "Tokyo (Live)" ahead of Lee's performance at the Blue LLama Jazz Club and Restaurant on Thursday, July 23. The saxophonist/bassist is also hosting a Sunday night jam session at Ann Arbor Funhouse (in Slows Bar Bq Ann Arbor) throughout August.
