I am very selfish and even though I have been staying fairly consistently working as well as I could ever hope for this summer during Coronacation I have not been sharing the pictures. It’s been crazy, I’ve been stressed and I’m stuck at home with a 16 year old but it isn’t fair to keep this amazing sauce that I get to see every day from everyone else and I will work better and harder at getting some pictures up here from the work I’m doing. Scott and Krissy were married 10 years ago. I photographed them before the wedding and I’ve been photographing their family as it grows ever since. This is from just last month! Not done with the session but this image made me laugh and cry both; so happy to see their joy and so grateful to be able to be there and celebrate their family (in mask and staying distant ). It’s not fair for me to not share this goodness.

An image from about 10 years ago. Very much inspired by Shizuoka Yokomizo’s Dear Stranger. I had seen the work in photo books recently two or three years ago I got to see a piece at the Chicago Institute of Art.

This of course is not a stranger but my son waiting to be picked up from his aunts one night. (family photography doesn’t always have to be how it always has been. I love this because it’s really him in that moment, it’s a time capsule and it is art.

Paul and Justin's wedding day was everything wonderful even the parts that surprised us like the sudden shower as the ceremony was starting!! It just created an even more intimate and special moment for them to say their vows. I blogged over 100 pictures, fair warning, but I love them all, on the blog! TwoFoot Creative were amazing as well and the setting at Barton Hills Country Club was just perfect.
