The Brides Project has a special place in my heart, as I purchased my own wedding dress there, almost 5 years ago. A very simple, strapless mermaid with beautiful buttons down the back, a manageable train, and in the prettiest blush pink. It was perfect. With the help and partnership of the incredibly talented , my wedding dress became a work of art. A one of a kind, custom piece with personal details that helped tell my husband and I’s story.
The Brides Project is run by volunteers and housed in donated space. The Brides Project is a bridal boutique…with a heart! Wedding dresses are donated to The Brides Project from all across the country: some are “pre-loved” – donated by brides who want to see them dance another day, and many are donated directly from bridal salons, so they are brand new! The best part of all is that the money raised from the sale of gowns supports families touched by cancer by providing services at the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. This organization cares about you and your story. And so do I. I can’t wait to hear your plans and see all of your beautiful dresses! 🤍

When E + B got engaged in Japan, they knew a naturally magnificent, Northern Michigan wedding with a view, was in the cards for them. They were inspired by gorgeous blue hydrangea growing along the pathway where they were engaged, captured by a surprise engagement shoot. We scouted the perfect destination on the Old Mission Peninsula for a fun, cocktail garden party in the trees to remember always. Although Mother Nature graced us with plenty of rain on the wedding day, the clouds opened up and shined a single ray of sunshine into the front yard where we pulled off a quick ceremony with the most perfect backdrop ever.
The whole crew enjoyed getting ready together, complete with a cameo from the best baby ever who spent his very first full wedding weekend with the Wedding Party. He’s already a pro!
The best Michigan brews were flowing and everyone savored an incredibly fresh and delicious farm-to-table feast. We even played florist in partnership with our friends to bring a little touch of home to the party. The lake provided an easy natural backdrop with an indoor escape reminiscent of an upscale lodge, where the dance floor was never empty.
Being able to spend a full weekend surrounded by the love of your closest friends and family is truly priceless. Building your timeline so you can spend that time is pure greatest joy. Because of this, E + M didn’t have to compromise their vision and got to spend quality time with their near and dear ones in our beautiful Michigan scenery. With Maize + Blue running through their veins, it’s only fitting that two childhood sweethearts hosted their wedding with . M + T both come from very merry Wolverines families. They knew they wanted to get married in Ann Arbor, but when they saw all the amenities of The Michigan League, “Hail to the Victors” played in their heads and we celebrated victory. They hosted their guests with a room block at the Inn, where the entire group got ready together. We slayed the regulations of tenting a full Jewish Ceremony outside on Ingalls Mall. As our bride walked down the aisle, the most perfect sunny sky opened up and warmed everyone’s hearts and souls. We had a full roster of entertainers including the coolest cats, for a modern twist on tradition. The Best Man brought down the house with his speech and we got the most epic Hora photos ever. Mom and Dad will never be the same. Thank you to our phenomenal team of partners who helped pull off a full schedule, on time and with love. Congrats, M + T! This day was truly magical.

When the clip clop of horse shoes is the beat of your heart and the lilac breeze is your soul, generations of tradition easily fall into place. When you grew up helping others and your village continues to grow with you, your wedding day is no different at all. M + E are descendants of Mackinac Island’s original founding families. As a creative author + graphic designer, M was able to paint their personal story into every detail. The has never once hosted a wedding, until now. We helped guests feel at home at the family bed + breakfast with a daily amenities table, and plenty of island activities. After a quick rehearsal and dinner, they hosted guests in the side yard and ended the evening with a bike parade around the island complete with a waterfront sunset toast. Warm sunshine, light and love illuminated the entire wedding day. Through words of wisdom and heritage, through a thoughtful collection of home-baked desserts from every family, through home-grown musicians, beautiful blooms, and a hand-painted family tree. Through a white wedding tandem bike with two souls soaring through a fireworks tunnel. There’s no words for when you truly get it right: for when the story is told in full and it’s unforgettable, for when the hugs and emotion are present in literally every photo, for when the love is undeniably, unconditional. Congratulations to M + E on one year of marriage and thank you for letting us celebrate with you! 🤍

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. It also helps when you are highly organized and commission an excellent team of professionals. R + B wanted the full experience of a fusion wedding with several days of traditional events, but made the ultimate decision to fit it all into ONE day. They knew right away what was most important to them and what could be sacrificed to make their schedule realistic, not only for their guests, but for them as well. Although they rose before the sun at 4:30am, they were surrounded by light + love all day, and all into the night. Their friends and family made sure they were never alone, and we made sure that our 10-page timeline was flowing. A good team is compromised of many unique puzzle pieces, that once combined, create a masterpiece. Putting the pieces together is sometimes a challenge, but the finished product is priceless.

It was a true honor and pleasure to plan a 90th birthday celebration to remember forever. Ninety years of service to Michigan - from Detroit to Ann Arbor, Ethiopia to Israel and beyond. Mr. Joel Tauber is a true testament to hard work and dedication, passion and commitment, with a humanitarian empathy that doesn’t exist anymore. From the to the , his support has kept us as a people, alive and thriving. I learned so much and am so grateful to have been a part of this truly inspiring village.

We spent the weekend with the fabulous McCoy Family celebrating Mr. GQ, Marcellus Crutchfield in his graduation from The University of Toledo. It was quite a feat transforming into a glamorous yet masculine private event fit for a king. Wildly proud to announce that pulled in this huge award for 2024 Best Social Event! Thank you to the team for taking on the monumental task of bringing our industry awards back! Thank you to the for giving us the space to showcase our achievements, and to the very talented for capturing these unforgettable moments. We spend countless hours, and blood, sweat, and tears celebrating others’ milestones in life. We truly make magic. But we desperately need to replenish our own cups and give ourselves and our colleagues the credit we deserve.
Accolades mean nothing if they’re not paired with passion, honesty, vulnerability, and love. This award would have never been possible without my clients.
