Outdoor event season has officially kicked off, and we started things a little differently this year.

A few weeks ago, our team supported the Aggieville Showdown, a unique event bringing the cattle industry into the heart of a college town entertainment district. It’s not every day you see cattle being shown in front of our stage, but that’s the kind of magic our team helped to pull off!

We’re grateful to work with clients who care deeply about what they’re building, and the team behind The Grand Drives is truly the real deal.

Last week, company co-owner, Kim Johnson-Smith, had the honor of serving as a mentor at the Ankeny Chamber’s Mentoring for Women event. Being invited into a space like this with so many driven, thoughtful women was a powerful reminder that the best businesses are built on strong relationships and a willingness to learn from one another. There's something about this quiet hallway first thing in the morning. It's a lot like an empty stage. Nothing happening yet but full of possibilities.

In an hour, this place will be buzzing with our team preparing for our next events. Plans coming together, prepping gear, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work that eventually become the moments people experience out front.

Every successful event starts in a quiet moment like this one.

Fierce Faith Music Festival is always amazing, and Colton Dixon made it even more memorable this past weekend! We have more moments to share soon, but for now, enjoy this video he posted. It’s always a gift working with someone so talented and down to earth!

Strength and endurance in the face of adversity is how I would describe the organizers of the National Balloon Classic as well as the little powerhouse you see in this photo. Over the past 9 days, the balloon field was hit with somewhere in the realm of 6-7 storms that packed 50-60mph winds. An unheard of number in such a short period of time. We're grateful to be ending the week with a balloon flight and *most* of our sound and lighting gear still operational. As for the , she'll be leaving tonight without a scratch! 💪
