Yesterday, I watched my son graduate college. Today, I’m celebrating Mother’s Day with the people who made me a mom in the first place. 🤍

To all the mothers out there — the ones cheering from the sidelines, holding it together behind the scenes, loving fiercely through every season, and learning to let go while still showing up with your whole heart… today is for you.

And to the moms standing in the middle of milestones like this one — feeling proud, emotional, grateful, and maybe a little unsure where the years went — I see you too. ✨

As an event planner, I have the honor of designing some of the most joyful days in people’s lives.

But what if joy wasn’t reserved for just one day?

That’s the question I found myself quietly exploring as I arrived in Copenhagen—home to the Happiness Research Institute.

Because the Danish don’t just celebrate happiness… they practice it. Through something they call Hygge—a feeling more than a word. A way of being that invites warmth, presence, and connection into even the simplest moments.

In the glow of candlelight at a café.
In long, unhurried conversations.
In choosing comfort, not as an indulgence—but as a way of life.

And it made me wonder—
What if we approached everyday living with the same intention we bring to a wedding day?

Not bigger. Not more.
Just more meaningful.
More connected.
More felt.

Because maybe the secret isn’t in designing one perfect day—
but in creating a life filled with small, beautiful ones.

This Peppa Pig party was filled with playful details, bright color, and those moments that make childhood celebrations feel truly special.

Even then, our goal was the same:
to create experiences that feel immersive, joyful, and completely tailored to the guest of honor.

And while the scale has grown…
the intention never changed. ✨

This floor was still in construction—but with the right lighting, draping, and design, it became a holiday gala.
The perfect preview before employees officially call it home.

This Thanksgiving, I’m feeling especially grateful for the people who lift Slope to Coast Events higher every single day. Dina, thank you for standing beside me in the whirlwind, the beauty, the laughter, and the magic of each event.
This quiet moment in Newport—just the two of us taking a breath—reminds me how lucky I am to do what I love with people I adore.
